On February 2nd each year, French people celebrate the “Chandeleur” also known as Candlemas in English.
Crêpes are usually being made for the occasion.
The round shape and golden color crepes represent the sun and the return to light (longer days) and the arrival of spring.
This tradition is also accompanied by superstition.
If peasants didn’t make crêpes 🥞 on this day, they believed that their crops would be bad the following year.
For the occasion we have prepared “Suzette” this crêpe cake inspired by the classic dessert “Crêpes Suzette” is just pure delight, layers of crepes, vanilla cream, Grand Marnier liquor and candied orange 🍊 marmelade.
This création is available for pick in our boutique during the month of February.
As always preorder online and pickup in our boutique!
