Relating to Our Bodies with Compassion 🙏🏽✨

When we are grateful for the gifts of the body and tender toward the pain it carries, we can develop a new relationship with our physical self that transcends evaluation and allows us to become more vibrant and alive.

How to save money and take your kids skiing... Save this post for future reference

1-Choose a resort where kids ski free. I've listed them below. ⬇️
2-Purchase the limited learner pass for you. It limits the lifts you can go on but if you are with kids it works out great. Or use and purchase weeks in advance to save the most.
3-Rent your equipment at a university outdoor gear center. I love

Check out this trail for snowshoeing: Willow Lakes Trial on . Also known as Willow Heights.

It's up Big Cottonwood Canyon has plenty of street parking and is absolutely gorgeous! ❄️

This is a 2.4 mile loop with the option of adding an extra mile around the lake. I would rate the first part as moderate difficulty because of the elevation gain. The hike around the lake is flat and of course going down is nice and easy.

Winter is gorgeous! Don't stay inside and miss the beauty. Get out there, girl!

Wondering how GOTG retreats are different than other women retreats? We bring the fun along with personal growth and reflection. True growth comes when you get off the couch and live your life. GOTG retreats are spent outside, moving your body and trying new things. We rappel, hike, snowmobile, ski, ride horses, etc. We connect with each other in a way that we become real friends and see each other genuinely. We do real talk and real life. We walk away from the weekend having made amazing memories, itching for more adventure, and committed to living our best life. It’s magic every time and I couldn’t be more grateful I get to do this as my job.

There is a spot left in the rappelling retreat for October 23-25 in Hanksville, Utah. Two days spent adventuring in the wilderness that Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid hid out in. 😬 It's going to be epic! Check out the link for full details. 🎉https://retreats.getouttheregirl.com/squeeze-page1589314751663

Do you let nerves stop you from doing something that interests you? ⁣

Rappelling made me super nervous at first. I knew I wanted to try it but as I walked to the edge of the cliff and looked over my doubts and nerves started threatening to take over. It wasn't debilitating but I was nervous. I made the decision and started walking over the edge. As I did I started paying attention to my surroundings and the amazing view I now had because of my position on the rappel. It was spectacular! I paused and soaked in the moment before continuing down, smiling ear to ear. ⁣

I have rappelled dozens of times since that first time. Every time I make sure I pause to look around and soak up the moment. And every time I smile ear to ear. It has become one of my favorite activities. I'm so grateful I didn't let nerves stop me from trying it. ⁣

What is something you were nervous about trying and ended up loving?

☀️ It's Share-My-Story Monday ☀️

This week Kim shares how connection has been a saving grace during her journey of motherhood. I met Kim on the Cowgirl Retreat last October and felt connected to her immediately. Her goodness and desire to be genuine radiates. She is an amazing human who I am grateful to know. ❤️

"Over the years, I have learned that self-compassion is so essential to life and especially in my role as a mother. We are so quick to lay on the mom guilt that can become an overwhelming shame that lies deep within us. I have been so grateful for women that have come into my life where I have been able to open up with and connect. It has been a saving grace for me."

Read her full story on my blog. It's worth a read! http://getouttheregirl.co/2020/07/20/share-my-story-series-kim/

⭐️It's Share-My-Story Monday⭐️
Today on the blog Brendy shares how she gained her voice back and how adversity, courage, and growth changed her.

"Chose to let your adversity do what it was designed to do. Awaken your compassion, connections, and adventure."
