In John 15, Jesus was talking to his disciples. This was one of the last times they would be together before He was crucified. He said in verse 5, “I am the vine, you are the branches. If you abide in Me, you will bear much fruit. For apart from Me, you can do nothing.” Imagine how important these words were. He could have talked to them about performing miracles, being strong, starting new churches. But when He was about to leave, He told them, “This is how you’re going to be successful, this is how you’re going to overcome challenges, this is how you’re going to fulfill your destiny, abide in Me and you will bear much fruit.”
