EUROPEAN MOTOR CARS INC I’ve mentioned this a number of times!

We had a follower send us this totally real photo of their new bumper sticker. Haters will say that it’s photoshopped and to that we reply….“Not uh!”

We used the most advanced technology available to zoom in on the window sticker and honestly, we could not agree more real human follower that sent us this! But this is the part where you yell you can do what you want and start posting Randy Marsh “Oh I’m sorry! I thought this was America!”

But wait, we come with facts. So far this year there have been nearly 25,000 motor vehicle thefts in Colorado (Internet, 2024). That’s roughly $250 million in stolen vehicles no longer in the owner’s driveways (Trust Me, 2024).

During the winter it’s cold, we get it (yeah, we’re in the Rockies). But not only is it illegal to leave your vehicle running with the keys in the ignition, aka “puffing,” it’s a great way to get your vehicle stolen. Thieves drive around in the morning and look for your exhaust. It takes seconds and we’ve had vehicles taken with children in the vehicle still.

Please do not puff your vehicle. You can do this with a remote start or with an anti-theft device such as a club or the pedal locks. Officers will be patrolling during early morning hours as call volume allows to deter this practice. We’d much prefer to knock on your door and ask you to shut your vehicle off or wait with it than take your theft report (and you’d probably rather have your car).
