The Collective Face Theatre Ensemble
The 2nd Weekend of 9 to 5 The Musical returns to Kennedy Fine Arts Building on the campus of Savannah State University this Friday at 8pm. Call 912-232-0018 for reservations to any of our 6 remaining performances.
In the meantime, Connect Savannah's annual Best of Savannah readers poll is out and voting has begun. Please remember us and our partners when casting your votes this year.
We encourage you to always vote for your personal favorites, but in case you need some help, here's a few suggestions:
Best Local Director: David Poole - Our fearless leader and Artistic Director has assembled some of the finest casts and built some AMAZING sets over the past year including, Calendar Girls, Savannah Sipping Society, Pygmalion & 9 to 5 The Musical.
Best Local Theatre Production: Calendar Girls & Savannah Sipping Society - We had a hard time trying to pick just one or singling out individual performances by the brilliant females actresses who made up the ensemble casts, so we're suggesting both. Both shows simultaneously tickled our funny bones and broke our hearts.
Best Local Actor - Mark Rand - Mark brought bombast and fantastic elocution to the classic role of Henry Higgins in Pygmalion..
Best Local Actress - April Saoirse Hayes - April had perhaps one of the most difficult tasks this past year in bringing Eliza Doolittle to life in Pygmalion. Henry Higgins get the credit for transforming a guttersnipe into a duchess, but it was April who did all the heavy lifting.
We also ask that you remember our partners when voting as well.
Best Indie Film Venue - Muse Arts Warehouse
Best Local Catering - Joe's Homemade Cafe, Bakery & Catering
Best Local Photographer - Stephen Morton Photography
We also have a few other company members in contention for catagories
Best Personal Trainer - Zachary Burke
Best Improv Company - Odd Lot
Thank you for your votes and your support. They mean the world to us.
