The 2nd Weekend of 9 to 5 The Musical returns to Kennedy Fine Arts Building on the campus of Savannah State University this Friday at 8pm. Call 912-232-0018 for reservations to any of our 6 remaining performances.

In the meantime, Connect Savannah's annual Best of Savannah readers poll is out and voting has begun. Please remember us and our partners when casting your votes this year.
We encourage you to always vote for your personal favorites, but in case you need some help, here's a few suggestions:

Best Local Director: David Poole - Our fearless leader and Artistic Director has assembled some of the finest casts and built some AMAZING sets over the past year including, Calendar Girls, Savannah Sipping Society, Pygmalion & 9 to 5 The Musical.

Best Local Theatre Production: Calendar Girls & Savannah Sipping Society - We had a hard time trying to pick just one or singling out individual performances by the brilliant females actresses who made up the ensemble casts, so we're suggesting both. Both shows simultaneously tickled our funny bones and broke our hearts.

Best Local Actor - Mark Rand - Mark brought bombast and fantastic elocution to the classic role of Henry Higgins in Pygmalion..

Best Local Actress - April Saoirse Hayes - April had perhaps one of the most difficult tasks this past year in bringing Eliza Doolittle to life in Pygmalion. Henry Higgins get the credit for transforming a guttersnipe into a duchess, but it was April who did all the heavy lifting.

We also ask that you remember our partners when voting as well.

Best Indie Film Venue - Muse Arts Warehouse
Best Local Catering - Joe's Homemade Cafe, Bakery & Catering
Best Local Photographer - Stephen Morton Photography

We also have a few other company members in contention for catagories
Best Personal Trainer - Zachary Burke
Best Improv Company - Odd Lot

Thank you for your votes and your support. They mean the world to us.

Late night after the final Spitfire Saturday at Muse!

30/01/2017

Performances at Muse Arts Warehouse the two final weeks of February! This is an amazing dance troupe that I've had the honor to watch come together in 2006, and continue to develop and grow through the guidance and incomparable talent and drive of it's creators. Do Not Miss This performance! I can't think of a more gripping and beautiful telling of the history of African Americans than this one through the music and the dance that came out of the struggles to this day. Tickets are on sale now at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2757921 -Muse's Lease was up in December. I fought for two more months in the space so we could have one more performance with Abeni Cultural Arts Performing Dance Studio. That's how much I mean it when I say "do not miss" *Abeni means "we asked for her, and behold, she has come."

It is time! Our Black History Month Dance Concert "Visions: An Odyssey in Black Dance" celebrates it's 10th Anniversary Performance! February 2017! See flyer for details!

Only 5 shows left, Oddities, at the Muse Arts Warehouse. That's right, 5. An entire hands worth of shows. Now don't be sad, because we'll be moving in our new home, the Loft on Liberty.

Until then, we've still got plenty of Monday Night Madness for the Muse, and you beautiful people. So come on out, and celebrate our time at the Muse!

Savannah Stage Company

Savannah Stage Company

What a year it has been for Savannah Stage Company, The Collective Face Theatre Ensemble, Savannah Shakes, and many other local artists. Savannah Theatre is booming and we are so proud to serve such a vibrant community of artists and lovers of art. Thank you Anna Chandler for taking us thru some of the highlights and memories. Thanks to Melanie Goldey and Art At Work Commercial Photography for capturing the moments. Most of all thank you to the many patrons and donors who make our Art possible. We would share our work if there were only one audience member, but we far prefer a packed house. Also, a heartfelt farewell to Muse Arts Warehouse, your impact on the Art community here will be a legacy fondly remembered for many years to come. Support local theatre, here's to another wonderful year.

CinemaSavannah presents THE FITS. In The Fits, the thrillingly kinetic psychological drama from the first-time director, Anna Rose Holmer, an 11-year-old girl joins a dance drill team at her local rec center, but her newfound teammates and friends begin to suffer from terrifying episodes of fainting. Gripping and unique, the film is “more than a transporting film experience. It’s cinema poetry in motion,” writes Peter Travers of Rolling Stone magazine.
