Callaway—Kelly Kingery ended the season Saturday at Franklin County Speedway, with his seventh straight win. The Wirtz driver held off Wesley Thomason of Vinton, after the two drivers had several side by side battles, on restarts.
“We got started a little late this season.” Kingery said. “I would really like to run for the championship next year.”
Thomason finished second and claimed his second straight track championship.
Todd Arrington of Wirtz had his best run of the season finishing third.
Mike Reed of Floyd won the 25-lap U-Car racing and won the division’s points championship.
Chris Amos stayed undefeated in the Turnerz division.
Other winners: Scott Foley-Mini Stock, Jeff Stump-Mini Cup, Jacob Steele-Kids Mini Cup.

Callaway—Kelly Kingery made it five in a row Saturday night at Franklin County Speedway. Kingery won the 35-lap Late Model Stock feature, against the season’s strongest field of cars.
The win promoted track owner “Whitey” Taylor to place a $1000.00 bounty on the Wirtz driver, for the final race of the season on Saturday night October 10th.
Josh Leedy of Bedford had his strongest run of the season finishing second.
Two time Track Champion Wesley Thomason of Vinton finished third.
Chris Amos stayed undefeated winning the 25-lap Turnerz race, for the 10th time.
David Radford won the 25-lap U-Car race after Patrick Janney was disqualified for illegal wheel spacers.
Other Winners: Jacob Steele-Kids Mini Cup, Jeff Davis-Mini Cup.
