After an event, I often replay it in my head and wonder if I played all the right music or interact enough, second guess myself as well. After the Liberty High School dance on Oct 1 this year, I received kind feedback from one of the organizers and I'll share below.

Hey Patrick,

Have you sent over the invoice yet? I want to make sure you get paid ASAP - you came through for us with a real quick turnaround and we would've had an awkwardly quiet dance without you 🙂

Also, the Leadership students had a vote and we'd like to move forward with you in the future. We'll get dates set up in a bit! We found a live band that the students really enjoy so we'll see the best way to include both in the future.

Additionally, now that I actually understand how to work the app you sent over, I think we can use it to help the student body communicate playlist ideas and song popularity more effectively - I think I dropped the ball on that end this time around (though I do appreciate the "What Does the Fox Say?" moment - despite my classes being mad at me for requesting it!). Weirdly enough, the students suggested lowering the volume of the music in the future (something I never expected young people to tell me 🙂).

The students pretty much unanimously enjoyed the lighting set-up you had - and we might be able to afford more with how successful our ticket sales were.

Anyway, thanks for being willing to work with us on such short notice, and I look forward to working with you again!
