The start of a new year always feels like a chance to reset, and as 2025 begins, I’m embracing a fresh perspective with a single guiding theme: FOCUS. This word will be my compass, a reminder to stay aligned with my goals and avoid distractions.

In the past, I’ve found that creating a long list of resolutions often leads to feeling overwhelmed rather than accomplished. Without focus, even the best intentions can lose their meaning and momentum. That’s why this year, instead of chasing multiple goals, I’m choosing one clear direction—FOCUS.

As I reflected on my aspirations for the year ahead, it became clear that focus is the foundation for turning plans into progress. Without it, goals are just ideas on paper. This year, I’m determined to stay intentional, keep my eyes on what matters, and let focus guide me toward meaningful growth.

Kwanzaa, a celebration of Black culture, is celebrated from December 26th to January 1st. It's a time for reflection, unity, and community building. The seven principles of Kwanzaa, called Nguzo Saba, are unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity, and faith.

As we celebrate Kwanzaa this year with our loved ones, let us remember the importance of these principles in our lives. Let us strive towards unity within our communities and support each other in achieving self-determination.
During this season of giving and reflection, let us also remember the power of collective work and responsibility. Together we can build stronger communities and create a better future for ourselves and generations to come!

Today is #LovingDay! Happy Loving Day! In honor of Richard & Mildred Loving. Loving Day is an annual celebration held on June 12, the anniversary of the 1967 United States Supreme Court decision Loving v. Virginia (The “Loving” side of the U.S. Supreme Court case consisted of Mildred and Richard Loving, a black woman and a white man), which struck down all anti-miscegenation laws remaining in sixteen U.S. states citing “There can be no doubt that restricting the freedom to marry solely because of racial classifications violates the central meaning of the equal protection clause.” In the United States, anti-miscegenation laws were U.S. state laws banning interracial marriage, mainly forbidding marriage between non-whites and whites. #HappyLovingDay #LovingDay2024
