Pressing large proteas was fun and for sure a big challenge.
It requires a lot of work and time, but the outcome is amazing and absolutely worth it.

A fun rustic mix of lisianthus, ranunculus, dahlias, roses, yarrow and dried ferns.
It’s really amazing to see the transformation from when I pick up a bouquet to when it’s been pressed and framed.
This lovely bouquet was extra special because it was created by the brides sister @ theflowerbarbzn

An example of color correction. There are some flowers that just naturally brown in the flower press. Mums are one of them.

This pressed and framed bouquet turned out amazing. It looks like the flowers are still fresh.

This beautiful bridal bouquet was designed by . A fun mix of ranunculus, orchids, roses, dahlias, bunny tails and mixed greenery.

The bridal bouquet turned out so sweet. Peonies are some of my favorite flowers to press.
I actually received the bouquet about a week and a half after the wedding. It was in rough shape but nothing like a little color correction to bring it back to life.

Update, The Wild Orchid will be looking pretty different next year. I’ve put a temporary pause on booking wedding flowers for 2025 and will turn my focus to my floral preservation work for now.

My amazing dad/best buddy passed away in late October, and it’s been beyond life-changing and the past 5 months have been very difficult. He was the most creative and think outside of the box person I’ve known and I learned so much from him.

We built my flower shop together on his property/my childhood home 19 years ago. I’m so grateful to have had such an amazing work space along with my dad’s support and being able to see him all the time. I’m so heartbroken to have to say goodbye to both.

Thank you all for the love and support from friends, family, clients and wedding pros as I navigate through the process of my dad’s passing as well as the new chapter for The Wild Orchid.

Had the most amazing time creating these flowers for a very sweet couple. From the colors to the flowers and the most amazing team of wedding pros, it was an incredible celebration!
A mix of red and burgundy dahlias, bright orange marigolds, peach mums, chamomile, white caspia, crocosmia, a pop of blue delphinium, cream and butter yellow roses with a few dark red spray roses, olive branch and some ferns.

The Secret Gardens is truly incredible, like being in a fairy-tale. Every turn holds a magical spot for photos.
The bride carried a hand tied bouquet of cream, peaches and blush with lavender and pale blue accents.
A gathering of peonies, garden spray roses, ranunculus, mums, sweet peas, delphinium and some mixed greens.
