When I was a little girl I sat at my grandfather's feet listening to his stories about how life used to be. While the other kids were off playing, I was content to listen. I went to college to learn how to listen better -- and they called it journalism. One day I walked into the University of Arizona's Center for Creative Photography. Eugene Smith hung all around me and suddenly I was in the middl

e of downtown Pittsburgh 50 years ago. There it was before me -- alive. I didn't know how loud silence could be. I could look at the photographs and feel the magic they held and the need to know the rest of the story. And just like that, a hobby I enjoyed - a mere compliment to the written word - became so much more. In love with captured time, frozen moments and real stories. My passion for photography comes from real life -- laughing, crying, sweating, listening, holding, touching, remembering, loving. This is what I strive to create: a photograph that will make you feel something every time you look at it.

I finally had a chance to finish up the images I took at an event with Magic Valley Photographers Community a while back. It was so much fun getting out and being creative! I took a few creative liberties in post production as well. It was fun making these images and I'm grateful to these real-life goddesses who helped make it all happen!

A few years ago I began getting asked if I provide wedding videography. With over a decade of wedding photography experience, I was comfortable where I was and, honestly, scared of this new market trend. I received advice to stay where I was, and yet I felt strongly I needed to grow to serve my couples. A lot of things had to happen to get to this point. -I had to find my perfect match (Amanda Reeder!) in order to offer the same quality of service while providing more to our clients! -We had to develop our own style - one that was still documentary, capturing video as well as stills in a way that allows the day to flow naturally. We believe wholeheartedly that your day should never be a scripted, cinematic production with us at the center, but a loving, REAL gathering of friends and family in celebration. - And then we had to learn what the heck we are doing!! There is definitely a learning curve, and our video prices will reflect that for a short while. But we are here and we are excited to offer you more on your biggest day. <3

Spent the weekend NOT driving kids to practice 🥰 First weekend without a wedding in quite a while. Don’t worry! I still dreamed I was at a wedding ;)

It’s been a long, WONDERFUL day!! I love the feeling of jumping into the cold water!! It makes me feel alive and at peace with the world. Falling… not so much! Happy last day of my summer y’all!! See you in the fall ;)
