Winter Wood Farm welcomes our wedding couples this weekend. We are pleased we can accommodate a displaced couple from the Boone area this Sunday. At the same time, we are continually thinking and praying for the affected people and businesses of our mountain communities.

To all couples, upcoming tour visitors and concerned folks, Winter Wood Farm was spared from the most catastrophic damage that much of the mountains have experienced this past week. We experienced a loss of power (but have generators), downed trees in our woods and our hydrangeas and flower beds have been ruined for this year (but will be fully recovered for next year).

Thanks to being spared the worst outcome in our area, we are fully accessible by most roads (NC-18 is closed for ~ a week longer). Check out https://drivenc.gov/ for current conditions.

Many of our friends who serve couples in the wedding industry are severely impacted for the foreseeable future. Please follow to keep up with future developments.

Please be compassionate as many people, their businesses and personal homes have been destroyed. There is no way to prepare for the effects of an event like this and people will need help to get through this and rebuild their lives.

We have been blessed to serve many couples who attended App State, who live in that area along with their family and friends. When y'all are safe please message us. We love you all!
