South Carolina was the first state to secede from the union in 1861, the inciting incident of a Civil War that would scar the country for four years. Nowadays it's known as the Palmetto State and the home state of senator Lindsey Graham, but it's also a state that features no major professional sports teams (The Hornets play in Charlotte, North Carolina), making the correct answer to yesterday's warmup question A and C.

Last summer, we invited you to enter The Arena.

This summer, we hope you don't... STRIKEOUT!

Starting July 9th, Hands On Buzzers hosts another summer event where anyone can enter, but only one can win in a trivia battle royale for the ages! While the name is different, the format is the same as last year. Everyone begins by playing a six-question qualifying round, where the top eight scores advance to the Semifinals. From there, the field gets whittled down to two, and then just one player who goes on to the Champions Round. And this year, the top prize has been upped to a $50 Amazon gift card!
