Did I mention that my baby brother got married last year? Yep, and the celebration was epic.

He’s gotta be one of the coolest, kindest, happiest people I know. I remember thinking when he was becoming a young man, how lucky some girl was going to be to marry him someday. Little did I know, he would find someone equally as beautiful a human as he is—inside and out. They are absolutely electric together.

Can’t believe it’s been a year since this beautiful spring wedding day for Paige & Miguel.
Per usual, rolled out the red carpet, and our amazing team of event profs, brought their A-game. So much fun designing this gorgeous celebration brimming with spring color and timeless details at Detroit’s most iconic venue.
This sweet couple has already begun growing their family and I am so thrilled for them. Happy Anniversary Paige & Miguel!! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness 🤍

The Blue Room ✨

“My dad passed away suddenly 5 years ago. It was important to me to honor him in some way. He worked his way up at big boy over the span of 35 years and was VP of Franchise Operations. He retired and created his own catering business, “The Blue Room”. At our wedding Kaeli helped us recreate the blue room and served a few of his personal favorites: Coney Dogs, Big Boy and Slim Jim’s.

I remember being so emotional walking down the aisle. I was so happy, so excited and just felt full of love. I truly felt the love in the room and felt my dad there beside me. It was so surreal to finally be able to make it official and continue our journey together.”

I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off our summer season than with this handsome couple—and just in time to celebrate PRIDE MONTH!! 🏳️‍🌈

You guys, I loved working with Andrew and Jason to design and plan their spectacular wedding day celebration.. not only was it an honor and a privilege, but we had so much fun along the way—even with a few significant hurdles and hoops to jump through. Thanks Covid ;)

But as any LGBTQ couple will tell you, (and as they both shared in their heartwarming vows), they are accustomed to challenges. It’s their life together that feels easy and beautiful. So, we created a day that was just that.

There were so many gorgeous details, but the absolute highlight were the florals by I mean, just scroll through those photos. That is some pretty incredible floral work if you ask me.

But we had a lot of special people helping us pull this all together. A huge thanks to the entire vendor team! We did it!

Did anyone else have big plans and goals for social media in 2022, and you’ve already dropped the ball because you’re so busy? Yeah, that’s me. 🙋🏻‍♀️
It seems like 2022 really took off and running and it doesn’t show signs of slowing down.

This particular post has been in my cue for weeks and I just haven’t been able to come back around to it..
But, even though the galleries from 2021 are piling in, and I have lots more weddings to share, I just had to post one more from Ali + Corey’s big day at Detroit, and take a moment to admire this modern chic invitation suite and wedding day stationery by

I hear a lot of couples say that invites and stationery are not a high priority and that’s where they plan to keep the budget down, but I’ll tell you what..

I’m feeling 22.. ooh ooh ooh ooh ✨

Well, sort of. Ha!

It’s such a bizarre time. I’m thrilled and grateful that the hardest season of my career is over and that we were able to produce so many incredible events despite the challenges. I’m overwhelmed by the flooding of new inquiries and interest in Luna Soiree Events for 2022 and 2023 couples, and am approaching them with a renewed sense of excitement.. but with this new strain of you know what, forcing us back into a virtual world, I am a little nervous about what that could mean for the season ahead.

I am holding out the hope that in the next few months, we can finally get back to planning celebrations with more certainty and our clients can share them with EVERYONE they love.

In the meantime, I’m enjoying the comfort of home, puppy snuggles, updating LSE content, planning and designing for our 2022 couples, and gushing over the incredible galleries from late 2021 weddings that I finally have a little time to enjoy and share.

Being at the helm of ensuring these moments is what I live for, in my work and in my personal life—and a HUGE part of why I love what I do.

L&G were originally scheduled for NYE 2020, and had to wait another year to get married. Seeing this gorgeous couple, who are so obviously completely in love and so good together, finally get their day, brings me so much happiness.

When your bride wants a fusion of purple and orange florals and is hosting a black tie reception at …

You call your girl Kate at to make sure this challenging color palette comes to life in an elegant, modern way.

And when is at the helm for stationery, you know it’s going to wow!

We had to go out of our comfort zone for this one, but I’m so proud of how everything came together for Ali and Corey’s September 2021 wedding. Especially, since they had to wait an extra year to celebrate.

A huge shout out to Director of Events at Shinola, for all of the extra love she put into this event. Working with stellar event professionals like Mary-Catherine, makes the planning process so much nicer for us planners!

As this wild and challenging year comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on all the beautiful love stories we had the honor of bringing to life in 2021.

Despite all the uncertainty, anxiety, supply chain issues, labor shortages, mental and physical exhaustion, and a few folks I just couldn’t please this season, I was so blessed to have clients like Kathryn and Dakota. Despite their valid worries about whether their indoor November ballroom wedding would or could happen, they were ALWAYS kind, appreciative, patient, and put their faith in me as their planner.
Even when I couldn’t always get back to them.
Even when things were a little behind schedule because of the reasons I mentioned before.
They remained positive, trusted me, and always reminded me how much they appreciated me. Gosh, if that’s not just the best thing you can ask for in a client, I don’t know what is.

Well, their wedding day came, and while Mother Nature didn’t exactly bless them with beautiful weather, their day was beautiful in every way! Take a peak at a few highlights from their celebration at captured by

Part 3
One of the reasons that this couple got so much variety in the photography coverage of their wedding day, is because not only did they book a 10 hour collection with ,we created a timeline for their day that allowed them to do everything they wanted to do, maximizing their photo coverage.

If you want photos of:
- getting ready
- bride & groom portraits
- wedding party portraits
- family formals
- reception details
- toasts & introductions
- special dances
- twilight or late night city images
- guest dancing
You need at least 10 hours of coverage and you need to do one of the following:
1. Have a first look a few hours before the ceremony. Schedule B&G portraits, wedding party and immediate family photos before the ceremony. This allows you to join guests at cocktail hour and really enjoy the day together.
2. Have an early afternoon ceremony with a 2-3 hour break in between ceremony and reception. It’s important to give guests enough time to do something in between, and also gives you ample time for photos. Some clients will ask about just having an hour in between, or do photos during cocktail hour. While you might get most of the photos you want of your family and wedding party, is not really enough time for your photos or for your guests to find something to do in between, and you end up with a lot of early guest arrivals to your reception which is not ideal for anyone.

It is also helpful to keep your venues and photo destinations in close proximity to one another. If your venues are more than 20-30 minutes apart, you’ll spend a lot more of your time on a party bus, than getting the images that you want of your day.

T & E had an early afternoon ceremony and planned for a nice 2.5 hour break. They got plenty of amazing images in downtown Detroit, provided ideas for guests to do in between, got to attend cocktail hour, and gave the photographers time to get into the ballroom to get details before guests came in. They even had time to head out to their favorite and share a coney after dinner!

If you are struggling with your timeline, it may be time to enlist a planner to help..

There is something so classically beautiful about this first image. It makes me think of a Royal Ball and T&E are the guests of honor.
I remember watching this moment, getting goose bumps. I was also probably smiling like a big dork too, but hey.. it’s the hopeless romantic in me!

Slide through the rest to check out the bride on keys and the groom on the mic! Both of them planned a surprise performance for the other. The bride played Piano Man—at exactly 9:00 on a Saturday ;)
and the groom sang to his “Brown Eyed Girl”.

I love how much fun this couple has together—and who knew they had so many hidden talents!

What I can tell you in words, is that the details were divine, the mood was joyful, and the love was palpable.

I absolutely adore this sweet couple, and am thrilled and grateful to have gained their trust and confidence. We planned a party to remember and it’s one I’ll not soon forget.

While we wrap up our final few weddings of 2021, designs are in full swing for 2022.. AND, we are in the process of making some gorgeous updates to our website to feature some of the absolute magic that we created during a wedding season that will go down in history as one of the most challenging for the wedding industry.

Katie and Mark’s classic summer wedding at is no exception!

I was so excited to work at this incredible new venue. Tucked into a wooded landscape, accessible only by taking a winding road with views upon views on a rolling golf course, The Station at is an absolute treasure of a venue. Once you arrive, you are equally awed by the beautiful landscaped fountain walk, carefully designed wraparound patio, gorgeously appointed ballroom surrounded by glass windows, and the classic black and white floor. We’ll share some details from the inside of this showstopper in our next post.

It was such a treat to be able to help put the final design touches on her wedding day, and to collaborate with such an incredible team.
