I remember the decision about whether to write our own vows feeling so heavy. We wanted to honor the covenant we were entering into. To honor our families and the many marriages that preceded us. To make our wedding ours.⁠⠀..⁠⠀
Ultimately, we chose traditional vows and personal letters that included promises that were only ever shared between us and God. ⁠⠀..⁠⠀
There is no right or wrong answer. The commitment to love and honor your spouse through all that life brings is all that matters - however you choose to verbalize that. Amen?⁠⠀..⁠⠀
