The Impossible Dr. Dreamy Herd life was okay, but I had bigger dreams. And according to my name, I WAS a dream - an Impossible She was in love. Something I never knew!

A few years ago, I was designing an invitation for Marilyn's 90th birthday celebration ... and that's what started it all, this Impossible Dream thing. While rummaging through the archives of photos from her past, I came upon an adorable picture of her on a little pinto pony. Her face lit up as she recalled what it was like to be 7 and sit on a pony for the first time. We didn't end up using that

picture for the invitations, but we stuck it on her wall, and she smiled every time she looked at it. About two years later, we were discussing childhood dreams. She seemed so small and shy when she told me that she had always wanted a pony. (and I know my mom really well). That was all the hint I needed. Having already dedicated myself to making her last years here special, I knew in that instant that she must have her very own pony, in this lifetime. Thus the search for Marilyn's dream pony began. Of course there is more to tell of the beautiful relationship that unfolded when Dreamy came into Marilyn's life, and she into his. He was truly her dream pony, and he came with a name that was quite fitting. At first, she was sure I was joking around when I told her his registered name was "Riverdance's The Impossible Dream" - but it's true. And so it happened that Marilyn's unfulfilled childhood longing became a reality. A fantasy reality that surprised and delighted her from the time he arrived to the time she left. In that brief span of less than eight months, they found great pleasure in making each other smile. Few things in this life are more wonderful than the joy our animal friends bring so freely. This page is here to capture some of that pure joy.
