SPRINGFIELD, lend me your ears! Since October, I've been doing silent discos for your kids. We did Snyder Park, Roosevelt, Greenon, Kenwood, Fulton, and Simon Kenton. I tried to make it fun, but keep the music appropriate. End of an Era! Back in 2014, DJ House and I had an NYE party at the Marriott. It was pretty great, but shortly after a lot of our friends were complaining about what a terrible start their 2014 was off to. So, we decided to do it again, an NYE REDO. This will be the first year without a REDO after 9 years straight. It was a good run Springfield. Thank you DJ House, the Buckeye Lodge, and everyone that supported the REDO every year. HAPPY REDO

I am nothing without clients booking me, the people dancing, and everyone spreading the word about DJ Chill - Ohio's Own Silent Disco Wedding DJ , Not So Loud Silent Party - Silent Disco Wedding Service , and Pic With Chill PB .

I repeat! There is no "best" in situations like these. It really comes down to preference and the connection that you make with your clients. I'm am truly honored that enough people continue to value what I do and take the time to vote for me. This makes the 6th straight "win" since DJ was added as a category. I can't say it enough. THANK YOU SPRINGFIELD! And, congrats to all of the winners and nominees in each category.

Hogwarts!

For those excited about the dancing portion of our Wizards' Ball, DJ Chill - Ohio's Own Silent Disco Wedding DJ will be running a combination of normal DJing (for those traditionalists among our guests) as well as his own Not So Loud Silent Party" The choice will be up to you!

A generous sponsorship from Wallace & Turner, Inc. allowed us to bring in DJ Chill this year. Wallace & Turner are our insurance company for the Heritage Center (and, by extension, the School of Wizardry) so we're thankful both for their service and their support!

Let me tell you about Anne! Actually, I never had the pleasure of meeting Anne. But, what I can tell you is that Anne actually did what a lot of people always say that they'll do, but never do. Here's the story...

I used to work with a guy at the fire dept. I did his wedding and then several events for his family over the years. We're talking like maybe 20 years ago. Great people. We're still friends. Well, last month I got a call from a woman. She says, "Is this Chris? I'm SoAndSo from BlaBlahBlah funeral home". As you can imagine, my heart dropped and I began to have tragic thoughts, wondering who passed away and how and why am I finding out from the funeral home. She then explained that they needed a DJ. I laughed for about two minutes while explaining to her that she has to do better. That's no way to start the conversation. Lol.

One of the cousins of the family, whose wedding that I did so many years ago, is now a funeral director and he told his other director to give me a call because they needed a DJ. It turns out that Anne was the reason for the call. Prior to her passing, Anne prepared for a true Celebration of Life. She wanted everyone to have a party. She picked a venue, the food and drink, the DJ, and even the songs that she wanted played. Sadly, her DJ was unavailable, which was why I received the call. I told the person on the phone that I appreciated the call, but I likely wouldn't be able to help because my calendar is full. It turns out that I must have saved that date for Anne, because the date was WIDE OPEN.

So, last night I had the honor of helping celebrate the life of Anne in the way the she wanted with the music that she wanted. I had never done anything like it and I'm hoping that it was everything that she hoped that it would be.

Saturday March 18th, come in to Frosty's and cure that St. Patrick's Day hangover by dancing the night away with DJ House and DJ Chill. Doors open at 6pm and music starts at 8pm. $10 cover at the door. Full bar available.
