The most beautiful designs happen when I get inspired by other artists work 💞

I love doing custom designs. When my client brought their vase to the studio, I immediately recognized the style and checked the stamp for the artist. And what a wonderful surprise it was to see that I was right and it was a piece!

I had a lot of fun playing around with different colours and textures to match the colours of the vase.

I also got to play around with my old camera and took some photos .. What do you guys think :) ?

I recently had an amazing time collaborating with some incredibly talented wedding providers on a recent styled photo shoot featuring fresh and dried flowers. Working with such talented individuals was truly inspiring and so much fun!

From the stunning venue to the table set up, bridal gown, accessories, hair and make up, cake, the photos ! …every detail was so beautiful.

Working with such creative individuals was truly inspiring! Their work has definitely fuelled my own creativity, and I can't wait to bring some of these ideas to life for future clients 🧡

I got to do a cascading bridal bouquet for my dear friend's wedding in Egypt, and it was so special ! Seeing the look of love and awe on her face when she saw it was a moment I'll always remember 🥰

The bouquet was made up of white roses, orchids, lilies, allium, and baby’s breath with cascading eucalyptus and olive branches. It was so much fun to design this bouquet.

I recently had the experience of designing in a customers fathers’ urn that once held his ashes.

It was my first time to make such an arrangement. I take a lot of care with each order, but this one was a bit different. While designing, I had this feeling of being at peace. I am a bit of a spiritual person, in my head I made the connection that perhaps this person is at peace wherever they may be, and that they had a good heart.

These are the projects that I feel even more grateful to be able to do 🤍

One of my favourite wall hang designs ✨ some of you have asked what is the process of ordering a wall hang, it is very simple.
• You can get in touch with me here or email.
• We set up a quick phone call to discuss what is it that you’re looking for.
• Together we work out the design, colours and size. Some people are particular about what they want, others like to give full artistic freedom. I love to work with both!
• I send you an invoice and once the payment is received I start the order.
• I send photos of the wall hang for small changes and finishing touches.
• I deliver the piece to you :)

It’s been a while since I’ve introduced myself here, so much has changed since I created high & dry flowers so a quick update is overdue!

🌻First things first, for those who might not know me personally, my name is Ece (a Turkish name, pronounced like to eh-jeh).

🌻 I moved to Halifax from Turkey when I was 13. I did my undergrad in sustainability and urban planning. A few years ago, while I was traveling in Vancouver, I fell in love with a flower shop and had a dream to work there. Shortly after I got my first job as a florist in Halifax, a year later I moved to Vancouver and I started working at that same flower shop I had the dream about and met some incredible ladies who have all inspired me . And eventually at the where I really went deep into a creative space learned from amazing ladies🥰

🌻 Growing up, there was always dried flowers in our home, my mom loved to display them in her antique vases from Turkey, I think she was my first inspiration :).
I always admired people who ‘dressed up’ their home with flowers and how they would change up the energy and look of the space.♥️

🌻 We got our sweet puppy Fizz- Fistik 🐶 and then got pregnant while in Vancouver. We decided to move back to Halifax during the peak of the pandemic to be close to family and to the city we both love ♥️

🌻After giving birth to my son, I made arrangements whenever I felt like I needed to feel more like myself, motherhood has been incredible in helping me learn more about self-care, self-love, and acceptance and re-defining myself. It also has pushed/ motivated me to grow in ways I never thought I could, especially in my career.

🌻When I’m designing, I get lost in the process and then find myself again. I tend to hyper focus on each little detail. Some might see that as an obsession, I chose to believe that this is my gift. I’m still learning when to let go, and that imperfection is the beauty of any art piece.

🌻 I feel so grateful to have found such supportive and caring community here through my work. I think this has probably been one the best parts of what I get to do, meeting all the incredible people here! 💕

I would like to call these next few pieces my ‘Ode To Spring’.

There’s something special about living in Halifax that I haven’t experienced when I lived in Istanbul. It’s the anticipation for spring to come, it’s quite special waiting for this time of rebirth, especially when you’ve endured a cold long winter.

It seems to me in Halifax people appreciate the warm weather and take full advantage of the sunny days that we get. It’s become the culture of the city, the patios coming out and filling up with happy faces on those sunny days! I can’t wait 💛 💛

A wall piece feels as though you bring a piece of nature into your home, I am in love with making them and displaying them all around my home.

My favourite part of the process is customizing these pieces for each person’s style, it allows me to get creative and come out of my comfort zone, I always find myself in places I’ve never expected and it’s such a pleasant feeling 🥰
