My Story

Roscoe Red is a graduate of Alfred State College. He got into radio after the college radio station WETD 90.7fm The Leap caught his attention when he first attended Alfred State. He hosted a show once a week for about a year and a half before joining up with other DJ's to create a show called The Rush Hour. This show gained popularity quick and was getting a lot of attention. Before you know it, Roscoe Red and The Rush Hour crew were getting booked for gigs on campus left and right, and started to make a name for themselves. Roscoe was still just in it for fun and DJing as a hobby. Then Hot Dog Day 2013 came around. This is Alfred's big end-of-the-year celebration. It was a beautiful day and everyone was out on Main Street. WETD always has a booth right in the middle of it all, and Roscoe was given a wireless mic and told to go out and get people to dance. And that's just what he did. All day log Roscoe had people doing dances from the Wobble, to the W*p, to the Cupid Shuffle. This is where he realized his passion for DJing and getting people to come out of their shell and dance. Roscoe now has done numerous events such as high school dances, weddings, fundraisers, and birthday parties. And he is a full-time On-Air personality for The #1 Hit Music Station 97.9/105.5 Kiss FM, in his hometown of Utica, NY. Right now, Roscoe is taking bookings for any type of event.
