One of the things we love most about capturing a first look is not knowing how the couple will react. Each time is different, with all sorts of emotions bubbling over. Maria and Daniel were no exception. The moment Daniel laid eyes on Maria, he was overtaken with joy! The two of them spent the next few minutes laughing and smiling ear to ear. Watching these two share a moment of pure, unfiltered joy was an absolute treat to capture. Venue:

St. Augustine is a beautiful place to have a wedding! There are so many neat areas to take pictures, including Flagler College. What a gorgeous background for Maria and her bridesmaids! I loved the beautifully coordinated dresses with subtly different shades of pink and varied textures. They all look stunning! From the beginning of the day in the prep room, until the final dance of the night, Maria had a blast with her girls! Such a fun day :) Scott and I were so happy to be a part of it!Venue:

This is one of my all time favorite groomsmen pictures. Francis was a ball of joy on his wedding day, and so were his groomsmen! I love how intimate and personal Jamie & Jeff's wedding ceremony felt. With their closest family and friends gathered around, they exchanged vows in a place that felt both timeless and completely their own. It’s moments like these that remind me of how unique every wedding is, no matter where you are or how big or small the celebration, it’s the love between two people and the people they choose to share it with that makes it truly unforgettable.-

Jordan and Kristin made so many beautiful memories on their wedding day, and we couldn’t help but love how effortlessly natural and full of love they were. Their wedding was actually rained out. They were supposed to get married outside on the beach, but unfortunately, there was a bad storm so they ended up saying their vows in their reception room. Was this upsetting to them? Of course! BUT, the day must go on! They chose to have good attitudes, move forward, embrace what was happening, and make the best of it. Thankfully, after the ceremony we were able to sneak outside for some bride and groom portraits, and as you can see, no matter what happened that day, it didn't ruin what truly matters... their love for each other and that they still got to say "I DO!" in front of all their friends and family. What a joy they were to work with!-

I just love the way rain makes everything so green on a wedding day. The trees look so bright and alive. I was so happy when Stephanie was willing to take her bridesmaids out for pictures despite the fact that there were rain clouds everywhere around us! Sometimes you just have to take a chance and see what happens. I'm so glad we did! Their pink dresses with the tall trees around them was so beautiful, and we had a fun time dodging puddles here and there. We just laughed about it and kept going! Planner:

I remember capturing this moment between Alyssa and her dad. I was trying hard not to cry because then my eyes get blurry, and well that's not good for taking pictures, ha! What a special time this was for them! I can't imagine what he must be thinking looking at his gorgeous daughter. I'm sure there are a lot of memories flashing by, or maybe he's just taking it all in. Either way, I'm so happy that we were able to grab this memory in time that goes by so quickly. Venue:

Every time we see a picture from Amy and Ryan's wedding, we can't help but smile! Their whole wedding week was special, with so many friends and family traveling in to Minneapolis to celebrate with them. And on their wedding day, we were hard pressed to ever find a time where they were not smiling. They were clearly having the time of their lives from the moment we arrived, until the very last dance of the night. One of the reasons we love engagement sessions is that it allows us to see the personalities of the couples we serve. Wedding days can sometimes be so busy that there is little time to stop and simply be alone with one another. But at an engagement session, we typically have 1-2 hours with just the couple, and it is really beautiful to watch. I truly believe that, decades down the road, these will be some of the most cherished photos of a couple (like Annaliese and Ian), as their children and grandchildren get to look back on how in love their parents or grandparents were before they were married!Venue:

Sometimes, the threat of rain on a wedding day can be a blessing! Kristin and Jordan's wedding was one such example. Getting married on St. Pete beach can mean that you are constantly surrounded by hoards of people in bathing suits. However, those tourists tend to clear the beach when they see a storm front on the horizon. And in those moments, we see the opportunity to have a beautiful, white sand, private beach session with the couple. 😊There's something truly breathtaking about capturing a couple's love on the beach. The sun, the sand, the endless ocean - it all sets the perfect backdrop for a wedding! We're so thankful the weather played the part that it did on their big day, allowing us a few moments alone on this beautiful beach!
