Now Accepting Applications for Transportation Manager

We seeking a full-time transportation manager to be responsible for overseeing the logistics of our company's transportation-related activities. In this role, you'll be keeping track of transportation operations and ensuring that all policies, procedures, and safety rules are followed. Those with management experience in other areas are encouraged to apply.

The Transportation Manager will:
*Direct activities related to dispatching, routing, scheduling and tracking of transportation vehicles and drivers;
*Plan, organize, and manage subordinate staff members to ensure work is completed and consistent with the company's standards and to meet trip volume demands;
*Conduct investigations to verify and resolve customer complaints;
*Collaborate with the ownership team to formulate and implement transportation-related procedures as well as company revenue goals and customer service objectives;
*Arrange repairs and routine maintenance of transportation vehicles with the direction of the Owner/Service Manager;
*Comply with transportation-related policies, as well as safety rules, and government regulations, and overseeing OSHA related compliance;
*Promote safe work activities by conducting safety audits and monitoring vehicle inspection issues.

Requirements and Qualifications:
*High School Diploma and preferably some college
*Experience in or knowledge of transportation is valuable
*Understanding of HR and management policies is a plus
*Ability to use computer technology and web-assisted software for scheduling and tracking of vehicles and safety compliance
*Strong sales ability, including the ability to speak with potential clients about our services and having a calm and friendly phone demeanor.
*Good time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
*Strong communication skills with fellow coworkers and the owner team about issues, news, updates and any necessary safety or maintenance issues.
*Good self direction and work ethic and ability to build staff energy, enthusiasm and teamwork
*Analytical skills for problem solving
*Reliable work transportation

Are you a CDL driver with a passenger endorsement, or willing to take the test for passenger transport for for existing CDL license? StarGazer Limousine needs you!

We are seeking several part-time CDL drivers for our large bus/limo fleet for the upcoming wedding and busy summer season. Most events are booked on Friday or Saturdays, with many in the afternoon or evening. Travel is usually throughout Oneida, Vilas and Lincoln counties with some trips going as far as Milwaukee. Competitive hourly wage plus at least 20 percent tips for all assignments. All training in vehicles provided.

Tonight we said goodbye to our first limo, which started StarGazer Limousine back in 2007. We chose to send her out with a good cause and, after years of serving as a lawn ornament at our shop, she was used as practice for the Minocqua and Hazelhurst fire departments for extraction and fire suppression training. It was bittersweet to see her go up in flames, but we are happy the end of her run could do some good. RIP StarGazer #1!
