The last one was taken in 2019 in the Tin Shed at Patagonia headquarters. With a new photo comes a new introduction— and come to think of it, the first introduction on here. 👋So hi all, I’m Kathryn, the painter behind these pictures. I live and work in my home state of Washington after being gone for several years experiencing life in Ventura, CA and Salt Lake City, UT working in the corporate outdoor industry (oh the irony). Painting has always been part of my life from a very early age and doesn’t feel like a choice or decision so much as a thing I do. I grew up with horses and painted in the barn. I’m very grateful for the creative and active life my sisters and I had as kids. We did a lot of horseback riding and camping in the backcountry, and watched Little House on the Prairie and Bob Ross. I’m proud to be a kid of the 80’s and 90’s when life was a lot simpler. We used to pick crab apples and line them up in the road to watch cars run them over. We’d write plays and put on performances for our parents. As an adult, I just want to see cool rocks and keep my dog happy. Things move pretty fast but mountains and big skies are always there, and I try to capture fleeting moments in my artwork. My next show goes up tomorrow night at in Edmonds. POP UP ALERT!!! Our very good friends from will be with us on Friday, November 8th with their incredible Paella and believe us, you don’t want to miss it.

5:00-8:00pm on Friday, November 8th! $25/person, no advance tickets - just show up ready to chow down on some absolutely delicious Paella. And, you know we’ll have some 🔥 beer and cider pairings ready to go!

Prep day!
Tomorrow is our monthly Paella Party in Edison and we are changing things up a little bit and offering a Fall Harvest Paella featuring chicken thigh, black kale and butternut squash (we always use their rosemary 💚) wild crafted chanterelles along with traditional sweet onion garlic tomato sofrito and fresh cranberries!
11-3:30ish $25 a plate, come and treat yourselves ❤️‍🔥🍻🥘

And that’s a wrap on the best/quite possibly the best summer of my life (?)
Super busy 2024 summer season complete!
Dishes are done after a Sunday surprise 70th birthday party in Blaine.
5 gigs between last Sunday and this, and now 12(!!!) days without a gig.
Have not had a gig-less week since mid March!
Time to start booking 2025!
Also those Holiday Parties!
Let’s make this the best winter of my life!
Going to take at least 24-48 off first! THANK YOU to all who helped make this last 6+months the success it has been ❤️‍🔥🍻

The Foothills Good Bank is incredibly important resource for our community.

Please come support this amazing organization and it’s dedicated volunteers by enjoying some delicious brews and Veggie PAELLA 🥘

$1 from each pint sold from 4-8pm will go toward the Food Bank, and all proceeds from every plate of Paella made by the wonderful folks , will also go to the food bank!

lions mane/chanterelle/cosmic queen mushrooms, rainbow chard, leeks, fennel, sweet onion, romano beans, shish*to peppers 💚 All local to Whatcom or Skagit county!!
Super freaking delicious! We top this with local beet, purple cauliflower, broccolini and heirloom tomatoes ❤️‍🔥 this is a staff favorite!
