Growing up surrounded by nature, Joseph fell in love with the tranquility and magnitude of life found in the redwood forest and the sea. Through an eye-opening trip after graduating college in Finance, he set out to capture the autumn leaves in Portland, Oregon. Joseph found his unique voice photographing his way through Europe. He’s also traveled through the Middle East, India, and North America.

Globetrotting, he always seemed to gravitate toward the naturalistic beauty in the sky, scale, and solitude of the ocean and desert. Searching for beauty in everything through his own lens, Joseph is on the same journey today, helping tell this romantic story through intense light, vivid colors, and minimalism. Crazy to think this whole photography thing started because I wanted to capture fall colors in Portland. Growing up in SoCal, seasons were just a concept—palm trees don’t change.

Somehow that trip turned into years of chasing light, traveling through Europe, and figuring out how to turn a camera into a career. Now, I shoot luxury homes and interiors around Orange County & Newport Beach, turning architecture into art.

Photos like these are what it’s all about. Golden Hour at Crystal Cove ☀️ Sometimes, everything just lines up perfectly—clear blue skies, warm golden light, and so much love. I spent golden hour with Bernardo and his beautiful family at Crystal Cove State Beach in Newport Beach. The laughter, the energy, the way they showed up for each other—it’s a reminder of how special these moments are. 💛 What a perfect day.

Victoria Beach Proposal 💍

Alessio reached out to me about six weeks ago with a plan that had my heart racing—he wanted to propose to his girlfriend, Bella, at the iconic Victoria Beach in Laguna. Proposals always get me a little extra nervous—more than weddings or engagements. There’s so much on the line: not being seen, capturing the moment without giving anything away, and making sure I’m in the right spot. But with nature involved (waves, wind, crowds), anything can happen! We mapped out everything carefully, but when the moment finally came, Alessio was so nervous (and fast!) that I barely had time to click. Bella said she had a feeling something was coming and was just as nervous, so I guess we were all nervous that day, lol! 😅 But when Alessio dropped to one knee, both of their smiles lit up the whole beach. 🥰 It was a slightly overcast day, but we still managed to get a sliver of sunset, and despite it being a holiday weekend at one of the most crowded beaches in SoCal, everything worked out perfectly. The surprise didn’t stop there—after the proposal, Alessio invited me to their house for a surprise party with their families and friends. It was an incredible opportunity to capture candid moments and special family photos—three generations coming together to celebrate. This is why I do what I do. I might just be the guy with a camera, but to be trusted to capture the most intimate and meaningful moments of someone’s life is a true honor. I’m blessed to create timeless art that their family will treasure for generations. How it all began

My first camera broke after having it for one day (age 12)...It wasn’t until after graduating college (with a degree in Finance, year 2008, that I never used…) that I picked up my next camera on a trip to Portland to photograph the Autumn leaves. Since then my camera and I have traveled through Europe, the Middle East, India, North America, and we tend to find ourselves at the ocean or in the desert capturing skies, scale, and solitude with intense light and colors. It’s an endless romantic journey searching for the beauty in everything. In my free time You’ll find me surfing and reading books on art and probably making a chocolate banana smoothie Chat soon!
