The administrative team at Indian Hills Middle — Principal Graham and Assistant Principals Roger Moody and Karlie Aardema — donned costumes on Friday to reward students for raising nearly $15,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The two-week "penny wars" among the students at Indian Hills yielded stacks of change for a great cause — the wish of a Disney trip by an adorable kiddo named Dean. "Words cannot express how proud I am of our students, teachers, and this great community," Graham wrote in a message to the community. "The generosity that the IHMS community continues to express through our Utah Food Bank food drive and our Make-a-Wish fundraiser allows students to be part of something larger than themselves."

It’s time for our Make-a-Wish fundraiser! Our goal: get 5 year old Dean to Disneyland! Tomorrow wear a silly hat for Dean and bring in your pennies for the penny war. Pennies and bills are positive points. Nickels, dimes and quarters are negative-put these in other grade levels to bring down their total!
