With five weeks’ notice, Kohler Energy asked Underwood Events to concept an event for its top 120 global leaders with the theme, Unleashing Energy. The main obstacle? The event was going to be held in a barn. Though beautiful, the venue wasn’t exactly energetically unleashed! On top of that, the venue needed to be a meeting space throughout the day, followed by a 55 minute room flip where it needed to be completely transformed into a different look and feel for dinner. Done and done.

A terrific effort was made from a team of the very best vendors, including:

Holiday Party #4 of the Season. If a client tells you that their holiday cookie walk (where everyone gets to assemble their own take-home box of holiday cookies) is something that is a long-standing company tradition – and therefore, non-negotiable – you get to work sourcing 900 dozen homemade holiday cookies! And if they also mention they’d like you to design an authentic Irish Pub in the middle of a former shopping mall, you get to flex your creative muscles. The Kerry Holiday Party was a sweet, sweet day of Irish fun for the company and their 600 employees.

Holiday Party #3 of the Season. Our client asked us to plan a holiday party for their 300 guests that had a warm, residential vibe where guests could relax with colleagues and celebrate the year’s successes. Muted shades of blue and green set the tone for the day that was full of delicious food, the craftiest of craft cocktails and a gifting experience where attendees could choose from a selection of hats, gloves, mittens and scarves…all featuring the client’s branding.

Holiday Party #2 of the Season. When a client gives you an empty distribution center and the ability to flex your creative and logistical muscles, you get the 2023 Quad Winter Celebration. By the numbers…5 days of carefully-choregraphed installation, 4,000 guests, 62 decorated trees, 2,000 bags of kettle corn, 5 Santas (we won’t tell if you don’t), 9 balloon twisters, 4,800 desserts, 300 bingo prizes, more lights than Clark Griswold could count, 18 vendor partners and 53 of the very best team members in matching blue flannel shirts. All of this under the careful watch of Kelly Roecker and Amy Train Pearce. It takes an army of talented and dedicated vendors to make these events happen; our army included:

The event almost doubled in size from the last time it was held and raised a record $1M. We worked with a team of the most talented vendors to bring the “We Open Doors” theme to life, including the recreation of four Clubs that gave guests the experience of the day in the life of a Club youth. It took six days of install and an army of talented people to turn our client’s operating fulfillment center into an empty warehouse and then into the 2022 Quad Winter Celebration. We’re always up for a challenge and 4,000 smiling faces made it worth the effort. Our client and their guests ate, drank, danced, engaged, participated, played, visited with Santa (five Santas, to be exact) and took home poinsettia gifts (1,300 poinsettias, to be exact). A production of this size and scope can only be accomplished with the very best vendors in the business and we’re lucky they’re on our team. Hats off to:
