Katie's Kreations Events Wedding Planner and Event Coordinator Katie's Kreations began the day that I started setting the table for my dolls to have tea.

Everything had to be set perfectly before we could all sit down and enjoy ourselves. That included the tablecloth all the way to the food. As I grew older this continued as I started watching and hosting with my Grandmother, designing my own wedding, and giving my son what ever birthday party he could think up. I also love to be around my friends, so I love to host any party or gathering I can in

my own home. Friends then started asking if I could coordinate their events, weddings, and kids birthday parties. Creating an event is a lasting memory that will leave a special imprint in your life. It is so important to think of every detail and take every client into consideration. It is such a joy for me to meet new people and create a momentous occasion.

August is Black Business Month! Please support a black business owner that has to work harder, and prove themself to make it. Business does not just fall in our lap. We are working day and night to have a successful business and we do it because we are passionate about we do.

I am a proud Black Business Owner, I love what I do and I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else. Meeting new people and creating spaces that bring my clients joy, make all the hard work worth it.

I want to thank all my clients that trusted me and allowed me to bring their vision to life. Trusted me to change things a little bit or change things completely. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special moments. Seeing you say, I Do at the alter. Sing Happy Birthday, celebrating your little one’s first year of life. Bringing me in to organize your companies and communities biggest events of the year. I’m honored and look forward to many more.

You made a difference in my life and showed me that I can start a business in the hardest time in my life. That I can soar. Make a difference and accomplish a goal that looked so far away!

Mother’s Day is a day set aside to celebrate all of you that are moms or have taken on that mom role. We want to wish all of you a very Happy Mother’s Day!

Sending love to all the moms we have met, hugged, chatted with and brought tissues to. We thank you for allowing us to be a part of your family for a day and welcoming us with open arms. Big Hugs from all of us at Katie’s Kreations Events.

We were able to extend the invitation to 17 High Schools this year and we are looking forward to styling and offering a personal shopping experience to everyone. I’m excited to be planning and hosting the Corsages and Cufflinks event again this year.

I brought this event to my local community so High School Seniors could attend their prom without focusing on the cost of the attire and all the accessories. This event is open to the following High School Seniors but no student will turned away.




As the committee continues the planning for this year, we are ready to start accepting donations.

Congratulations on your engagement!

It’s that awesome time of year that couples are taking that next step in life. They are deciding to take that leap into marriage and a commitment of love to one another.

What’s the first question most couples ask after getting engaged? Where do I start in the planning process?

You can’t start planning a wedding until you sit down with your fiancé and determine what type of celebration of love you want. Will it be a traditional wedding? A wedding with some flair, introducing new traditions into your new family? Or will it be an elopement?

Sometimes you need some guidance at this stage of the planning process or you need assistance when you start looking at the budget (which should be next?).

Being a wedding planner has allowed me to sit with so many of my couples and assist them with the stage of planning they wherever they are at & meeting then where they are at. I’m looking forward to working with new couples in 2024 - 2025 and planning the wedding that represents who you are. It’s time to celebrate love!

Christmas is my favorite holiday. I have some very fond memories growing up with both sides of my family that I hold very near and dear to my heart.

I have added some of these memories and traditions to my own family. Some I started the moment I got married. Others I brought in when my son was born. There are some, I’m excited to introduce this year to bring honor to my lovely Aunt that made Christmas the tastiest when I was little girl!

Elf on the Shelf is one tradition that was new for us. My son had a love, hate relationship with Happy. He loved him but thought he was a little spooky hiding in the house. But every year he looked forward to him coming back.

I have loved that so many of you have embraced me and made my balloon designs as a part of your elf traditions.

Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. I loved dressing up as a kid. I can still remember those plastic costumes with the plastic masks. If you were a kid in the 80’s I know you remember that smell! Those are such great memories and I will forever cherish each and every one.

Here are some final snap shots of my Villains Shoot! These young ladies were an absolute pleasure to work with. I wanted to give my favorite villains a time to shine. Show the world they are beautiful too!

Happy Friday the 13th!

I thought I would celebrate this fun and spooky day with pictures from my latest styled shoot!

I LOVE the magic of Disney! So I wanted to show some of my favorite villains some much needed attention. Being being a villain isn’t what they always wanted out of life. They minus well celebrate their love for being bad at a dinner party just for them.

I put my call out to my local moms and their magical girls! I wanted them to give each character their spin on what personality the villains would have.

I am humbled and honored that the wrote a full article on me and my journey into wedding and event planning.
You can have a job, career or something that you passionately love to do. That’s how I feel about this work. It’s a passion. I’m smiling while I work, I look forward to every phone and in person meeting with my clients and event day is like walking on a cloud. I’m definitely blessed to be able to do this day in and day out. Give back to my community and get to know so many people!

We met in 2001 and you taught me to trust again. You showed me what love looked like and how it felt. We started making memories the day we met and I cherish every one.
We defied the odds. Broke barriers and changed the narrative for the generations that will come after us.
We wanted a marriage built on a strong foundation, that would stand the test of time. We have done the work, taken the time and invested in us. Some days were harder than others. Some weeks, I’m sure we didn’t know how we were going to make it. Our love kept us going and kept us strong.
You have been by my side when I needed you the most. Carried me, when I couldn’t walk and fought for me when I didn’t have the strength.
You are my best friend. You are my partner in crime. You are my shopping buddy. You are my foodie buddy. You are my husband and I love you dearly!

Yesterday was the first day of school for so many kids and I hope that everyone had a fantastic day!

Wish Charger Elementary was our “Back to School” Giveaway Winner and it was a honor to help them celebrate their first day with a pop of color. They won a balloon garland that they could put at their school entrance that would greet all their students, teachers, staff, and parents. Congratulations to Wish Elementary School on WINNING the Back to School Giveaway! Their school will receive a 14 ft balloon garland to adorn their entryway on the first day of the school. All of the students will be greeted with a burst of fun as they enter the 2023 - 2024 school year.

Celebrated Juneteenth with one of my Grandma’s best dishes.
Her Jambalaya had the best flavor and food is one of the ways we connected. I sat in the kitchen while she cooked and watched her do everything. Chop, season, and sauté.
