1 Grab mini cookies of your choice ( oreos, nutter butter, Nilla wafers)

2 Medium marshmellows

3 Hersheys chocolate

4 Fire pit/ or burners

Crush cookies, put chocolate inside bag, roast marshmellows on a stick, insert marshmallow into bag and close while removing stick.

Shake bag and grab a fork!! 😋😋

I’ve had a few new clients this year that I’ve had to explain what my services entail. There are many different umbrellas in which event planning is done. I’ve had to explain what an event planner does versus what a decorator does versus what a coordinator does, so on and so forth.

I think I’m gonna put together a series of videos that show exactly what each role is, so that others can better understand. Working with different people, different nationalities and different ways of life you come across things that I feel like I have to explain, over explain and re-explain after every client. I update the contract to be not so much legal but more logical.

I will start off this series of explanation by saying;

I cannot tell you how important support is with dealing with any event, especially your wedding. Make sure you choose people who support you without an attitude, without interfering and without judgment..

It doesn't matter how extravagant or simple your event is, always surround yourself with people that are genuine and have your best interest at heart.

Please be careful out there scammers are everywhere in every industry..
This gentleman reached out to me on wedding wire for information regarding my services.

My first 🚩 was that it was a man requesting services. I know that it happens, but i'm always leary.
2nd 🚩 the phone number is based in new jersey🙄 ( Spidey senses activated)

I replied to him with the types of services I offer and let him know to reach out via text or email if he's interested.

I have had this happen to me on two separate occasions. Both men, both working out of town and both wanting to surprise someone.

After the initial text I still gave him the benefit of the doubt until he said he was planning a surprise reception for his son, 🤦🏾‍♀️which was exactly the opposite of what he said on his first email Where he said he was looking for a planner for his wedding..

Did someone say Memorial Day marriage proposal?

Storytime...

So I along with my vendor discussed l creating this "Marry me" backdrop.
The groom to be was very specific as to the colors and the style he wants.. So this should be an easy set up right?

I discussed with my vendor that it was a Memorial Day proposal, the details and the colors. He told me he was going to pick up the balloons and create something memorable.

I reached out to him yesterday just to follow up to make sure we will arrive at the same time and he was shocked that memorial day was the next day. I laughed 🤣🤣🤣🤣 but he didnt...

He thought memorial day was on the 31st. 🤦🏾‍♀️

My stomach dropped to my toes.. He apologized profiously and then told me he would call me back to see what he can get together. I knew that everything was closed except for maybe party city.. I called my client and I apologize over and over again but I also told her, I was figuring it out.. I called EVERYONE!!!
They were either out of town or just busy or of course closed.

I was almost in tears,. I started to scroll my contacts slowly just to make sure I hadn't missed anyone. Oh yes, I forgot to mention this started at 9 pm last night😬

I reached out to a sister friend who recently hosted her husband's 50th, another sister friend who sent me a vendors website. I called this one last friend of mine because she's either always having a party or at a party🤣🤣. She has a large family, she called a family member and then another family member and finally she called her sister who does balloon garlands..

I also called someone else to get the greenwall backdrop. I spoke to her over the phone once about a month ago. I had not vetted her, I had never seen her work before and I honestly just didn't have any other options but I went ahead and cash app'd her $300 dollars ( At this point it was God's hands)

We arrived to the house, I was worried, I was praying and I was nervous.. It's one thing for a mishap or if something breaks. But if I ruined someone's MARRIAGE PROPOSAL😱
I don't know what I would have done..

As you can see everything worked out fine and I will forever be grateful to friends and family.
