Many times people ask if it’s ok to do or not do something for their wedding. My answer will always be, “it is your wedding & you should do what you want”. Whose cares what your friend, relative, neighbor, whoever else did? You shouldn’t care! Do what makes you happy! Yes of course I think it’s sweet if you try to do things that may make someone feel special but the bottom line is that you need to be happy with your wedding!

When you think of your wedding flowers remember that they really set your mood and are in a ton your photos! Also think about which are the types of photos that you’re going to print & frame.
Sometimes couples tell me things like “my ceremony is really short” as their sole reason for not having a lot of flowers for their ceremony. If you genuinely don’t love the look then of course don’t do it! If the length of your ceremony is the deciding factor I strongly urge you to reconsider. The length of time shouldn’t matter because you’re gonna have those photos forever. The photo of where you stood there and said “I do” to your now forever partner. The photo of where you had your first kiss as a married couple. Photos with your best friends and family. Photos that will last a lifetime!
After all, flowers teach you to enjoy things in the moment. It’s like enjoying that slice of cake or coffee that you’ll only have for a few moments and then it’s gone.
All those smaller items might not be worth it because they aren’t going to be as photographed or as memorable. So maybe skip some of those smaller items that do add up financially and go for that really nice ceremony!

I can’t get enough of these GORGEOUS FLOWERS!! One of the reasons I LOVE flowers so much is that they make you smile! Another is that you can make your wedding with them! What do I mean? Well, you can’t change a lot of things such as the flooring at your venue but you can definitely customize your flowers! We can get you the perfect color palette and the right style for your day! Thank you for capturing them so well! 🌸😍

Picking that vendor team you adore is always important! It’s your wedding! Don’t simply book the cheapest out there. Most likely there is a reason they are the cheapest. Are they using lesser quality products, are they making things smaller, are they not paying their liability insurance, do they not have much knowledge? These are just a few possibilities. Good vendors know what they are worth and what they should be charging. If you are getting a “good deal” there is likely a reason behind that deal and it might not be so good.
When we were working on our house we would frequently get more than one quote. We didn’t just pick the cheapest. Why not? It’s our house! It’s important. Same with our wedding. It’s important!!
Also please stop ghosting. We’re real people on the other end of that contact form you’ve filled out who are excited that you’ve liked our work enough to reach out. We take time to respond & totally understand if you decide not to meet but let us know. It’s the nice thing to do. If we spend our time having a consultation and doing out a quote for you please let is know if you decide to book another vendor. After spending likely several hours of our time and sharing our ideas with you it is very simple to send an email in return letting us know you’ve booked another vendor. We all know that we could not book every couple we talk to even if wanted to. There are no hard feelings. The hard feelings are in being ghosted bc it’s disrespectful.

🌸 I’ve been in the floral industry since I was 14! Yes 14!! I went to an agricultural high school and took horticulture and floriculture classes. (Regular public school with added classes!)
🌸 I still LOVE my craft & feel so lucky to have found my passion so young in life!
🌸 I love teaching classes & taking classes! Learning is always important!
🌸 My husband is AMAZING! He’s a small business lender & the king of VOLUNTEERING!! One of his many current volunteer acts is being president of an assisted living facility.
🌸 I did not change my last name when we got married.
🌸 My family means the world to me! My parents & grandparents are ALWAYS there for me! They have cheered me on my whole life & continue to support my dreams! They are the best ever!!
🌸 My dogs are my world. They make me laugh & smile more than anything else! They’re my shadows & have no idea about personal space. I wouldn’t have it any other way!
🌸 My friend .jo who I’ve been friends with since kindergarten designed & hand painted my logo! How cool is that?!?!
🌸 I love that we have 4 seasons in CT even though I don’t always want to be out in the cold & have Raynauds.

Would you wear a colored wedding dress? This green dress is gorgeous! I’ve also done weddings in which the bride has worn black, blue, pink & gold. Sarah and Patrick got married in their home which is super sweet and there were flowers all over! The staircase was always in the plan but the arrangement you can see along side of the staircase was a last minute add on that I decided to do that day. Designing on the their wall was so fun! It was cool to figure out and it looked amazing!! Sarah wanted a wild boho look and that’s what she got!

When deciding on a STYLE for your wedding flowers make sure it fits YOU. There are only so many parts of a wedding that are 100% customizable and flowers are one of those areas! It’s one of the many things I LOVE about being a florist! I love that I’m able to do something different all the time. Sure I almost always make the same pieces, such as bouquets and centerpieces, but they always look different! Planning those details with you is something I love! It is also wonderful when I have some CREATIVE FREEDOM to get you the look you want with the best product possible. When hiring a florist, it’s important to remember that we work with perishable product and things are not always in our control. Putting your trust in us to do the best job possible means the world to us and I thank my clients for always doing that!💜🌸
