We are looking for your support in sponsorship of our upcoming IHRA Bracket race along with the Footbrake Frenzy on August 10th… ALL Sponsorship proceeds with go towards the FOOTBRAKE winners purse at this event. We are seeking sponsorship ranging from $100-300 per business.
That sponsorship includes your business being recognized on our page and our website. It also will include mention of your businesses generosity by our announcer throughout the show.
Sponsorships of $150 or more will also receive FREE admission to this race for 2 adults.

Thank you for being patient with us as we’ve been a bit busy in our personal lives this week…NEVER FEAR THOUGH….Paul is getting things ready for the weekend and allowing me time with the EARLY new addition to our family.

This weekend’s schedule:

No TNT on Thursday - nothing was originally scheduled…and this gives Paul a little more time to prepare.

Friday - Mowers - Gates open at 5, Practice at 6, Racing at 7. $10 for spectators, $15 non member racers. $10 for BBMRA racers ONLY!!!!!!

Saturday - Nostalgia Show - Gates open at Noon. Racing at 3 pm $20 for all.

This weekend at Nostalgia Mayhem 2 we will once again have a special honorary “Pit Crew” member for the last pass of the day. One special individual will be chosen to be part of the East Coast Fuelers crew, help get the cars to the lines and also bring them back to the pits plus several give away items. Make sure you stop by the pits and get your chance to be part of our crew.

2 weeks away, Nostalgia racing back at Wilkesboro Dragway with the East Coast Fuelers. Saturday June 15th, mark your calendars and make plans to come out and watch some of the best side by side exhibition runs with an “Old School” attitude. The Sporel/Jacobs Virginia Flash vs the Never Satisfied Racing Green Goblin, 1/8 mile showdown in the valley of Wilkesboro NC.

Below are the complete rules for the Teen Racing program in 2024! We will feature the Teen Racing program at all WDRA Points Series events in 2024 along with sending the winner of the points series to the WDRA Bracket Finals!!

Teens from 13 to 17 can learn the basics of drag racing and compete against other drivers of their age and skill level in a controlled and supervised environment without the need to spend any money on purpose built drag racing vehicles.

An adult “co-driver” rides in the passenger seat during all runs to supervise and coach the driver and to participate in the fun. Teen Racing uses the family’s daily driver as the competition vehicle so no additional expense is required.

All races are limited to 1/8 mile and elapsed times are restricted to 9.00 seconds and slower as Teen Racing is about learning the sport enjoying the experience. Junior dragster is the only other class that licensed Teen Racing drivers may compete in.

DRIVER:
Drivers may have a WDRA Teen Racing license until they receive a state or provincial drivers license beyond a learners permit. All runs must be made with an appropriate Co-Driver. Verification of all competitor’s birth certificate is required and must accompany all license applications. If a Teen Racing license holder obtains a valid state or provincial drivers license after starting a season, they may complete that season in Teen Racing.

CO DRIVER:
An adult with a valid state or provincial license who is the teens legal guardian or over 25 years old must serve as a co-driver. The co-driver must be in the passenger seat of the vehicle while the teen is driving. Co-driver must drive the vehicle at all times other than when the car is at the head of staging and on the track. At that time, the driver may get in the drivers seat. After making a pass, the driver must stop on the return road and let the co-driver drive it back to the pit space.

LICENSE:
The licensing procedure includes a basic driving test including vehicle orientation and a minimum of six license passes including the approval of a WDRA track official.

SEAT BELTS:
Required.

CLOTHING:
Short pants, tank tops, flannel or nylon pants are not allowed. VEHICLE: Convertibles are prohibited. Vehicle must be licensed and insured with mufflers and street tires. Purpose built race cars are not permitted. The use of electronics is prohibited
