Have an idea or session request? I love friends old and new ❤️ I document family, nature, and storytelling. Adventure is more fun when I bring a camera along. The camera goes (almost) everywhere with me. I photograph a small number of sessions, weddings, and events. This allows me to dedicate time to each family and event. My idea of success is working with folks that have similar values. Those va

lues include curiosity and a sense of adventure. With appreciation for laughter :)

I believe in quality over quantity. I want to make art, celebrate life, and connect with people who become friends. Before anything else, I consult with you to be sure that I am the best person for your vision. Every session includes an online gallery with tutorials, ongoing support after delivering images, album design, and more. I won awards from Artist World Magazine and others, including a Blue Ribbon for Professional Photography at the Nevada County Fair. My images have appeared on HGTV, The Celebration Society, Buzzfeed, the Skin Wars Show, and more. Lenka is a contributing artist to Cavan Images. Fair week! What's your favorite part of County Fair at the Nevada County Fairgrounds? For me,honestly, I love people-watching. Anyone with me? The charming moments between animals and people are my favorite. If I take photos, I always chat with new friends and send them photography files. So many little moments happen at the fairgrounds that may or may not become epic memories. Watching them happen, the fun interactions, is my favorite.

P.S. And I never post without asking permission, unless it's a crowd

Mermaids know that rivers can be dangerous! 🌊✨ During July and August, the current calms and the snowmelt fades away, revealing the river's serene beauty. This time of year, however, it's a surging danger. Let's stay aware of water conditions everywhere! Heat can be misleading, because the water is sooo tempting. However, currents can be powerful. 🌊 Let's respect nature's majesty, as every year the river inspires us and also brings the saddest losses. I never ever not miss you. All the photos in the world cannot replace you, yet I appreciate each and every image that I can find. The bloopers. The blurry ones. The way you looked away at the last minute 😂 Take the photo. Because time, not even one second of time, can be wound back.

Chewie was two months into a diabetes diagnosis when he had a pancreatic emergency. We did everything we could. But sometimes, everything is not enough. He will forever be the kidhood dog, the family dog, the pandemic and cancer journey dog. It’s always too soon with pets. Still, the suddenness of his passing was a shock.

We know you're still here as a spirit-dog, and we know you will find us again. But, oh, how the house feels quiet. No one pushes me to go to bed, already.

Speaking of, I better do that. Sending all of you good daydreams and sleepy dreams. Hug your furry friends from me 🥰

Ever walk into a store and just want to bottle up the whole vibe? The soft light, the cozy beauty, the way the everyday feels enchanted?

As a photographer and artist, I carry my vision everywhere, even when I’m just running errands, even when I can’t afford a single thing in the stores that draw me in like spells. Anthropologie feels like curated dreamworld, lit in soft tones and layered in textures that feels like tumbling into another wonderland.

This photo? Taken on my trusty iPhone XR, the one that’s been with me through so many small, quiet moments of wonder. And this day that I took the photo? I wandered while waiting for my mobile appointment. I finally qualified to upgrade to the iPhone 16. ✨ I’m already dreaming in frames and tones, excited to explore again with new tools in hand.

Inspiration is everywhere. And when the world feels heavy, light still streams into windows. Reminds me to keep looking, keep noticing, keep creating.

This isn’t a collab or sponsored in any way. Just a love note to beautiful spaces, and the joy of seeing the world through an artist’s eyes no matter the gear, no matter the day.

Anyone else got a case of spring fever? These warm days are inspiring us to get outside and play. Throwback photo of one of our favorite spring hikes, Buttermilk Bend, on the South Yuba River. (This trail is still under repair from a slide out, stay tuned for when the state park opens it, they say spring). Link in comments for more local hikes.
