Come teach the style of yoga you love most will host you on our property. We will make some tea for the occasion. Potluck additions are always welcome.

This event is for any friends who would like to practice mindfulness in community. Participate in as many sessions as you'd like and donate to practitioners you enjoy!

We are stoked to host for a hoop workshop at our First Friday Fire Jam on April 4th @ 7:30 PM.

Come with your hoop next week to learn a sequence to start YOUR flow journey 🌀 in an easeful, positive environment. No experience required, all levels welcome.

Donations welcome to support our live DJ .wav , our workshop facilitator, and our growing community.

Fire circle will open after the workshop where all fire props are encouraged to play and practice in a safe container.

Carpooling encouraged as we live in residential neighborhood.

We’re inviting folks interested in learning acro and growing food Saturday, February 1st at 12pm. Together we’ll clear a small portion of land and prepare it for a new series of food crops!

Food and drinks will be provided and we’ll offer an acroyoga workshop to wind down afterwards!

Health is a community endeavor: the food we grow and share, the skills we offer to each other, the medicinal techniques we foster.

NEW: Today, I am issuing my Parting Prescription for America—my final reflections as I complete my time as U.S. Surgeon General. It addresses a foundational—and urgent—question I have grappled with: what are the root causes of the pain and unhappiness so many are experiencing?

In addition to more commonly discussed challenges such as economic hardship, mental health struggles, and uncertainty about the future, there is something else that has been missing for many people that is a critical driver of health and well-being: community.

The three critical components of community are relationships, service, and purpose. They comprise the triad of fulfillment.

Yet half of young people and a third of adults struggle with loneliness; formal and informal service have remained low; and an alarmingly high number of young adults say they have low or no meaning or purpose in their lives.

Rebuilding community will require a cultural shift to recenter our lives around the triad of fulfillment: relationships, purpose, and service. We have to rethink what defines success and a good life—and build our individual lives, institutions, and policies around that.

My Parting Prescription for America lays out a pathway for how we can make this critical shift. Community is a force for health and fulfillment. It is an antidote to division and despair. We need it more than ever. Read the full Parting Prescription at Surgeongeneral.gov/community

We can't wait to see you at Vena Cava for a Fire Spin Jam on Fireday! Come tomorrow @ 8:30 PM 🎉🎶🔥 The event starts with a fire safety meet and greet for all spinners who flow here.
🪩 Many of our friends will be at Hulaween, and we think it will be nice to host a gathering for all of our flowmies still in town for the weekend!
❤️‍🔥 All levels welcome! No experience necessary, just bring an open heart and playful spirit. Message us to lead a guided demonstration or flow workshop!

Store fuel at the dipping station.
Keep containers closed when not in use.
Always have a safety when burning, ask us if you need one!
Safety blankets are always available.
Wear fire safe clothes.

Boiled down to a blurb, fire spinning is movement with a lil 🔥 on top. If you have a flow practice, you have a fire spinning channel! At VC, we hope to spur on new folks to flow and fire with our jams held each month and encourage established fire spinners to meet each other and share gigs in the area. We take safety seriously and lead our jams with a protocol to safely spin.
