As we are nearing fall and cooler weather remember that beach season isn't over yet! Fall is such a beautiful time of year at the Gulf Shores. When making a visit in September-November you’ll find fewer crowds, cooler days but warm water temperatures, and oftentimes cheaper prices. When you book a stay at our Veranda Laguna you will have easy access to Little Lagoon. This is a 10 mile stretch of water on the northern side of the Gulf. This body of water has a small piece of land between it and the rest of the Gulf. It's the perfect spot for water activities such as jet skiing, paddle boarding and fishing.

Alabama summers are hot! With temperatures often in the 90's, it's important to stay safe and avoid overheating while you and your loved ones enjoy your time at the beach this summer.
-Stay hydrated! Bringing a cooler of cold drinks down to the beach will help you stay hydrated and cool in the hot sun.
-Have a source of shade. Even if you enjoy sunbathing, having the option to escape the sun at times and cool down can be important, especially if you are traveling with young kids.
-Know water safety and CPR, especially when swimming in the ocean. Always be aware of what the current is like.
-The sun can drain your energy quickly. Make sure to have plenty of high protein snacks to keep your energy levels high so you can enjoy the beach for as long as possible.
-Remember to wear sunscreen and reapply it often. Skin cancer is surprisingly common but can typically be avoided with proper prevention.

Combined, our veranda beach properties can accommodate up to 51 guests. Between the two, they have a total of 16 bedrooms, 16 full bathrooms, and 3 half baths. This makes them the perfect sister homes to book for every large event, wedding reception, or big multi family gathering. Searching for treasures along the beach can be a great activity the whole family can take part in. If you like hunting for shells, try your hand at finding shark’s teeth! The small, pointy black teeth can often be found among the sand and shells along the shore. Some people also enjoy searching for sea glass. The smooth, colorful glass can be easier to spot and fun to collect!
