We were in awe of the guests’ stunning traditional Indian attire! From elegant sarees & lehengas to dapper kurtas and suits, everyone looked radiant. The venue, Tribeca Rooftop, was simply perfect for this love story, which began at their first jobs, followed by a quirky proposal and a ring turned upside down on a hike in Southern California! 💍🤣

Kinjal & Udit's heartfelt review touches our souls! ✨ Capturing their beautiful wedding at The Palace was an honor. "If we could do our wedding all over again, we would hire Ishan and Preeti again in a heartbeat!! They were one of our first vendors we signed after selecting our wedding date, and from the very first meeting we immediately felt like we clicked with them and absolutely loved their photojournalism approach to wedding photography. Throughout all of the planning they were there to answer every question that came up and help us understand how to structure our day to make sure we could capture all photos we wanted while also being present in the moments :) When we received our photos, we were absolutely blown away. We hired Ishan Fotografi to capture our multiday wedding weekend including our haldi, sangeet/garba, wedding ceremony, and reception. At each event they captured the spirit and emotions so perfectly, and their photos truly depict the story of each event and the whole weekend. From portraits to candid captures, we love each and every photo. My husband and I are not very comfortable in front of the camera, but Ishan and Preeti made us feel so at ease. They were fantastic at showing us how to pose, be natural, made us laugh, and also helped our families to feel comfortable, which truly shows in the photos. They made sure people were not in the way for critical shots, and being south Asian themselves, they knew what traditions were going to happen and were always ready for them. They also asked us in advance to list out any moments that were important to us to make sure that those were captured, and we cherish the candid photos of those moments :) Their attention to detail made us feel very calm throughout the weekend and confident that the important moments were being captured! We feel unbelievably fortunate to be able to do something we love…and to do it together is the icing on the (wedding) cake! We started Ishan Fotografi six years ago to share our love of both photography and people.
We believe that wedding photography is not just capturing a moment on a camera, but telling a narrative through an image. We enjoy seeing how a simple smile can tell a story of love, amusement, or affection.
And as a boutique photography studio, we photograph only a handful of weddings every year so we can expend all our energy and resources on the wedding couple. We immerse ourselves in the wedding festivities, providing a beautifully captured memento of the wedding day for the couple who often are so busy they miss some of the special moments.
