Bringing the super chic and Old Hollywood vibes to a modern day chuppah!

💒Lots of people have been asking me lately if I am still planning weddings.
The answer is: YES!

✨Though I slowed down tremendously over the past 2 years and added Mindset Coach For Women to my resume, I actually never fully stopped planning. The universe gave me a break but also showed me all of the signs that this role is a big part of my life's purpose.

✨I also addressed the tremendous burnout I was experiencing after 20+ years in this biz and that was vital to my success as a human and a planner and a coach!

🤯I've learned a very important lesson along the way that I now try and pass on to as many people as I can. That is: You do not need to paint yourself into a corner, put yourself into a box, or define yourself in one singular way. The world works differently now and we can all do many, many things at once that fulfill us. If we are willing!

💕You know how when you've been doing something so long that it is in your blood? That is event planning for me. It comes naturally, brings me joy, and continues to be a very meaningful way in which I can serve others and help enrich their lives.

🤸🏻‍♀️So, I will see you around! In one form or another. As long as we remain open, we never know what adventures and opportunities await us.

Planning weddings and life coaching: One and the same.

Giving this interview to the Project Freelance podcast was such a fun way to talk about my 20+ year career as a planner and how it naturally guided me into adding personal coaching and podcasting to my resume.

I also talk about side hustles and staying afloat during this difficult time, which anyone with a small business is trying to do.

C O L O R T H E R A P Y

I'm going to keep rolling out images from this gem of a Micro Wedding because we ALL need more color in our lives right now (and always)!

As a wedding planner and designer, I've always gravitated towards using color, even during the years when popular design dictated white white white and more white.

So when my clients dreamed up a 🌈 of a wedding, I couldn't say YES quickly enough to helping them make this very special (and socially distant) design happen.

Being bold with your choices in decor or in life is always in style, if you ask me. And I think we can all agree that a design (and a moment) like this is not just memorable but completely unforgettable.

Now I'm here with actual, real life experience to say that a wedding in the time of Covid is not only possible, but that it can also be very safe, super fun, full of conversation and connection, and that it's likely to be even more special than you'd ever have imagined.

It's no secret of course that we now have a far deeper appreciation and gratitude for all things bright and beautiful, for face to face time with people we love, and for moments of celebration, than we ever have before.

I, for one, am completely lifted up by having helped some wonderful people create an unforgettable moment in 2020, and one that was decidedly sparkly and joyful rather than heavy and uncertain, as so much of this year has been.

So, go forth and plan! Your dreams may take a different form, but they're still available to you. Lead with Love, not with Fear. That's the trick.

I've planned hundreds of weddings in 20+ years, but this is a photo of my own.

15 years ago today we danced the night away in this beautiful room and I can tell you today that I'd choose these bright green and pink linens, ethereal fabric draping, warm, beautiful uplighting and timeless hanging bell jar lights all over again.

(I'd choose the band, the food, the flowers, the family and friends, and even the dress all over again too! And, of course, the groom.)

I have always said that I am in the wedding business above all else for the relationships I build (though the other stuff is pretty fabulous, too). But it's the people that will always keep me here in some form or fashion, particularly the many incredible women I spend months and months with and whom I'm so fortunate to call friends once it's all said and done.
