I’m pretty good with the weather. The forecast called for rain ad the bride was concerned at the rehearsal. I told her that I’d put in an order for no rain. On the Big Day, it rained in the morning so the MOB called for a rain contingency and they moved the ceremony from the meadow to the barn. Jessie, the bride, refused to “be married in a barn!”, so they had to flip all the flowers back to the meadow. After all, she said, “Rev Ray said he won’t let it rain. This was going to take some time. The MOB asked me if we could postpone for 30 minutes. I told her that I would have to put in a change order prayer, but it looked ok.
No rain!
As I left, I drive about 1/4 mile and hit a wall of rain! It was pouring down like a cloudburst!
It’s good to have Friends in high places!
No and Jessie, May His Blessings continue to rain down on you!

A fun and fantastic wedding yesterday at Revel Event Center in Greenville. Jennifer and Brian have been planning their Roaring 20’s themed wedding for about 18 months and pulled it off in Aces! With this much teamwork, there’s no doubt that they can work through anything!

At the Hotel Domestique today in Travelers Rest to celebrate the Love of Amanda and Nick with family and friends. Amanda said afterwards that the ceremony was perfect and she felt every word like she hadn’t before. I guess I did my job right!
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Hall. Three’s a lucky charm on St Pats Day!

A very nice review from our couple from last week. It was a great group of friends and family and a sheer pleasure to perform. Thank you, Emillee and Kyle!

We had the pleasure of having Rev. Ray officiate our wedding. He did an amazing job. He is so helpful throughout the entire process and always makes himself available. He was kind, funny, and made the rehearsal and day of go smoothly! We had many people ask where we found him. 10000/10 would recommend!

Another beautiful Fall afternoon at the Pretty Place Chapel. Melissa and John had heard about it and reserved their time “sight unseen”. They weren’t disappointed! A beautiful start to their Happily Ever After!
May many years of Joy follow!

Traveled to Rock Hill and the Magnolia Room to usher in Ryan and Tran to Holy Union. A large gathering of family and friends were there to offer their blessings and celebrate Love.
I do believe they are on their way to a Happily Ever After!

What an incredibly busy week at From This Day Forward! One rehearsal +5 weddings in seven days. And a breakfast to get together with a couple on our free day! What a blessing to be able to officiate Diana and Mark, Alyssa and Evan, Rachel and Chris, Cassandra and Taylor and Catherine and Lane’s nuptials! From Columbia to Cleveland and Easley to Hendersonville. About 800 miles or so of celebrating love.
Can you forgive us for waiting until Monday to post?

Some flower design plans can take some time. With Susannah and her mom Erin, over the span of about 6 months, the flowers were planned. Now comes the ex*****on. With a well-thought-out plan, the final product is stunning. And, so it was this past weekend.
Even the best laid plans can change at the last minute. And not one guest was the wiser! Doesn't Karen do gorgeous work? Give her a thumbs up if you think so.

Karen and I went to the Charlotte area (Lake Norman) for a wedding. Susannah and Gunner had a great set of friends stand up for them. The flowers were a knockout and deserve a post of their own.
Susannah and Gunner, we wish you the best that Life has to offer.

Janine and Nick originally planned their wedding for last year. Due to the nastiness, they had to postpone twice. The third time was the charm! Celebrating their Love with over 140 guests, and their dog Duke, Janine and Nick made it a very fun event. We held off the rain for as long as we could, but must say, it made for some beautiful lighting for the pictures. Best regards for a wonderful future together. Great things come to those who wait!

Three days in a hot flower warehouse working her fingers to the bone, Karen put together her largest bridal floral design to date. The installation today went well as soon as the tables got there (a bit late, but it gave time to take care of the last minute touches). A lovely color pallet, fresh flowers and a lush garland set an elegant tone. Let the party begin!

It's so poignant when, as the door opens and the bride steps through, that the groom streams tears of Joy down his cheeks. Such was the case today when Lara and Andrew stepped into matrimony. A beautiful waterside ceremony surrounded by those closest and dearest to them. Best wishes, Lara and Andrew, as you continue your journey through life together!

Emily and Sean tied the knot today. Literally!
Performing weddings is always a healing for Rev Ray. There are times when the family makes him feel so welcome that it enhances the healing all the more. It results in a smooth, enjoyable ceremony that is Light-hearted and fun for all present. At the Aiken House on King St. today, such a ceremony took place. Thank you to Rachel at Elevents & Co for referring Sean and Emily to us. We believe everyone received a healing by being there. And safe travels to all who traveled far and wide to attend. Especially to Sean and Emily. Many happy years are in front of you. Enjoy the journey!

Dani and Alex were made for each other. When we first met with them over coffee, and later at the rehearsal, and finally on the Big Day, whenever they looked at each other, the smiled and had a glint in their eye that passed when their focus went elsewhere. I think you can get a glimpse in these pictures. You can't hide true Love. The Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation was the perfect venue for them. Easy and flowing like the creek at the dock. Best wishes to Alex and Dani!

Spring is here! On a rather warm day, we traveled to Little Mountain, SC along country roads lined with trees dripping with wisteria. It put us in the right frame of mind to marry Alexandria and William at the The Cotton Press, a recently renovated building from the early part of the last century. Family and friends laughed, cheered and celebrated Love to make it a memorable day. Thank you Alex and William, for the privilege and honor of being a part of your celebration. May you continue celebrating your love and may it grow with each passing day!

May "the force" always remain with Clayton and Madison as they begin their new journey together as husband and wife. Both Clayton and Madison are huge "Star Wars" fans. They wanted to incorporate that theme throughout their BIG DAY! We must admit that there was certainly a positive force between them as they exchanged their vows to each other at the always beautiful River Road and Jasmine House venue in Columbia, SC. Congratulations and our best wishes to them both. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your celebration.

Alexandra and Russell have a deep, authentic love. The small details of the event was nothing compared to the meaning of the event. Enthusiastically, they exchanged vows, rings and a beautiful Unity Candle ceremony. The candles remained lit throughout the remainder of the ceremony, even with a light wind blowing. Alexandra and Russel, may you know His Blessings every day!

Hannah and Coleman had waited a long time to make it "official". Faux fur stoles kept the bride and her bridesmaids warm. Longjohns kept the groomsmen warm (no pictures of that!). Not only did Karen design the florals, she and I shared Day-Of Coordinator duties, keeping everything on time. In fact, we ran a bit ahead of schedule all day. It made for a timeless event that will live in the hearts and memories of all in attendance. Congratulations to Hannah and Coleman on taking this big step in your relationship while taking it all in stride!

We had the pleasure of meeting our bride, Hannah, and her mother 2 years ago at a bridal show in Charleston, SC. That is where our journey began in the marriage of Hannah and Coleman. They had originally planned to have their wedding last year on Rev. Ray's birthday in October. Due to covid, our couple decided to postpone their big day. Their day finally came to fruition yesterday. Despite the rain, spirits were high by everyone in attendance. Love was celebrated and a great time was had by all! Rev. Ray had the honor of performing the ceremony of Hannah and Coleman on the beautiful porch at Old Wide Awake Plantation. Karen had the pleasure of designing all the wedding floral's. This is her work here. The pictures don't do it justice. Thank you to Hannah, Coleman and their families!! It truly was a labor of love of all involved with the momentous occasion. Thank you to Lisa, the bride's mother for this opportunity and bringing Hannah and Coleman's vision to life! Lisa and Hannah did an amazing job in planning this wedding and it was beautiful! A special shout out to Samantha and Melissa for all their assistance in getting everything set up. These 2 ladies did an amazing job! Not only did we get to be a part of the wedding between this darling couple, but friendships were made and will be cherished. Congratulations and best wishes, Hannah and Coleman. May the love between you both continue to grow. Rev. Ray and Karen

Our Story

From This Day Forward offers a variety of services. From officiating to day-of coordination services, floral design and light photography. We offer these services to a variety of areas in South Carolina and Georgia including Columbia, Aiken, Sumter, Greenville, Augusta, North Augusta and Charleston.

Rev. Ray Moore has performed over 300 + wedding ceremonies and counting. Although the Order of Service is similar, no two weddings are alike. By consulting with our couples initially either in person over a cup of coffee, or over the phone, we get to know each other and custom-tailor each ceremony to the Bride and Groom’s wants and desires. There’s no charge for these (and subsequent) consultations. We see the ceremony as a reflection of the Love between the couple and want each ceremony to be a validation of that Love.

Karen Harrison has many years in the catering and hospitality fields. She brings that experience to her Day-Of coordinating skills (although it’s really month-of). Her attention to detail leaves no questions of who’s supposed to be doing what, and when, on your Big Day so that the happy couple can fully enjoy the celebration with family and friends.

With a background in the floral industry, Karen’s creative eye for balance often exceeds her client’s vision of what the bouquets, boutonnieres and table arrangements should look like. She enjoys taking the bride’s suggestion of which types of flowers she wants and the feel that the bride is going for and brings that vision to fruition maintaining the integrity of the budget she is given.
