A week ago we were honored to design, plan, and manage our niece Camille's wedding to our dear friend's son Garry. The ceremony took place at our generational friends'/neighbors' ( now family) waterfront lawn and the reception was held at the Freight Shed in Historic Yorktown. It was a gorgeous, emotional day! ❤️❤️❤️

We had an amazing day this past Saturday! We created designs for THREE very special couples. Joseph took the lead in creating the fairytale inspired designs for Ashton and Liam's wedding at the exquisite Dover Hall. Many of these creations had to be built on site! We were thrilled with how it all turned out!

We didn't let tropical storm Ophelia dampen Celeste and Mac's special day at the James RiverCountryClub. While the storm did her thing outside, guests filled the 1932 paneled ballroom for a extremely meaningful ceremony officiated by an Episcopal deacon who has known Mac since he was a child.

During cocktail hour and throughout the fun reception, we were reminded why weddings are important not only for the happy couple and their families but to their guests. We witnessed the groom's neighbor reconnect with a college buddy who is married to a friend of the bride. Neither of these men had any idea the other would be at the wedding! It was amazing to see them reconnect after more than 20 years.

Our favorite part of the wedding planning and floral design business is getting to know wonderful people. Unfortunately, after a wedding is over we rarely, if ever, see our clients. This weekend we had the distinct pleasure of working with a family for the third time! (The fourth time if you count the wedding of very close family friends last November)

We might be biased, but we think Blanton and Charlie's wedding weekend was about as RERFECT as they get. The weather was amazing (perhsps due to the seven bottles of bourbon that were buried) and everything went absolutely according to plan. What REALLY made it delightful for us was being surrounded by fun, warm, and loving friends! Congratulations and best wishes to Blanton and Charlie. We look forward to seeing you on the York River in the future!
