Winter can be hard, you pull the blankets to your chin. Block the winter chill outside and lock your feelings in... Drink a cup to warm you up, eat the stew to keep you warm. Find a cozy place where you feel sheltered from the storm. Lay down in your bed, rest your head and go inside, and through the cold and dreary months locked inside you will abide.
But when springtime smiles down on you and the sun is beaming down, pull yourself outside your house and walk barefoot on the ground. Smell the flowers, touch the trees, maybe hug one too, feel the magic deep inside that connects to you. Open up your heart, your mind, let the sunshine in… Its a season of renewal, and a new life will begin. Dance to your own music that is playing in your mind, watch the sun rise and set and the moon high in the sky.
The winter gave you solitude, gave you peace and filled your soul, now spring is here to give you light, and a new life to behold...

Happy Spring Equinox!

Beneath the ground a bulb awaits, it sleeps through winter's frost...
It has no thought of loneliness, nor thoughts of life once lost.
And as the ground begins to warm, the bud begins to sprout... pushing through the soil above and poking its head out.
On each tree the buds start blooming, a sight for all to see,
the sun shines down to warm them all - a gift for you and me.
The birds awake and sing a song for everyone to hear, a song of happiness and love "she's here", they sing, "Spring's here"!
