Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois with 20 plus years Nightclub DJ & Mobile Events experience, I consider myself an advocate for the Music Industry as well as a Role Model to the younger generation of DJs. Being a self-contained DJ, I have the ability to Video Mix and Emcee. I can play a wide variety of musical genres and create LIVE Mash-ups that incorporate House Music, Hip Hop, TOP 40 and Roc
k. I have the ability to play as an Open Format DJ, which allows me to keep the crowd guessing on what is coming next. I am not the typical “Beat the Crowd to Death” same style DJ for hours and hours. I pride myself as an Entertainer being capable of Reading the Crowd, as this skill is lacked by many. Even though I have a Nightclub background, I have 15 years of Mobile Event and Production experience. I have assisted my Clients with their entertainment needs from Weddings, Corporate Events, Upscale Fashion Events, Outdoor Festivals and High School & College Dances. While working for Multiple Mobile Event Companies, I have acquired the title of the Go-To-Guy. I do believe that I am different than most DJs that play the Top 20 songs from each genre and call it a day. No matter what event I am on, I am all about Crowd Reaction. I am the guy that gets the person sitting down, not having fun to get up and dance. In 2010-2011, worked for the biggest, All Dance Music Format Terrestrial Radio Station in Illinois as a Mix-show DJ at DANCE FACTORY RADIO 92.5 (WCPY), 92.7 (WCPT), 99.9 (WCPQ) FM and online at www.dancefactoryfm.com which was my home for 2 1/2 years and it was a great opportunity for me to share my passion for music with the listeners of the station. I have developed a fan base as well as maintained listeners and far exceeded my expectations of what I am capable of. I brought innovation as this would definitely added a unique prospective to events as it seems that everything I am part of benefits greatly for my influence. Co-produced many tracks signed to record labels; one track in particular still circulates through the North American Electronica market. “LONELY” is the title of the track, it was produced by "Twitchin Skratch & DJ MiXX.” On May 2011, “LONELY” was released to Beatport.com and various music retail outlets all over the Internet. In 2012, Produced a DJ Competition called “THE U FACTOR DJ BATTLE” which received sponsorship and support from Sam Ash Music, Focusrite Novation and RANE Corporation to name a few. I have opened for Young MC & Tone Loc at the E # # Expo in Rosemont, IL on July 15, 2012; where 2,500 people were in attendance and later in the year for a “Sold-Out Show” featuring Steel Panther at House of Blues Chicago on December 21, 2012: where 1,700 people were in attendance. In 2013, Performed at Toyota Park in Bridgeview where 3,000 people attended The Graffiti Run on July 14 and then at the Chicago Korean “KFEST” Festival at Northeastern Illinois University on August 11; estimated 5,000 people attended. In addition, I am an active Reporting Member of Promo Only (www.promoonly.com) and FOUR80 (www.four80music.com). I obtained a Resident DJ position at Adobe Gilas in Rosemont as well as performing at various venues through Chicagoland. In addition, I have mixes featured on www.CrooklynClan.net, www.beatfreakz.net and www.directmusicservice.com. In 2014, Incorporated a NEW concept into my DJ Performance called, “Wedding on Steroids.” In short the concept is just this, entertain all but be ready to “WOW” the crowd by going a different direction. Have you ever seen a DJ with stamina? If you are wondering, what this means then allow DJ MiXX to invade your venue to show you what a Wedding on Steroids is all about. The DJ MiXX brand continues to assist venues, entertainment establishments and other industry related businesses with advertisement via the internet. I have been holding a Saturday night DJ Residency at Adobe Gilas as well as performing at various venues through Chicagoland. In 2015, Promoted to Entertainment Director for the Adobe Gilas Chain. Responsible for growing the Entertainment Roster from four (4) Live Acoustic Performers and three (3) DJs to double the amount of Talent. Duties consist of coordinating Live Acoustic Performers, DJs, scouting, interviewing and hiring talent for the Adobe Gilas Entertainment Roster. As well as enhancing Entertainment Standards to allow Adobe Gilas to collect a cover charge in addition to performing as DJ.
