Happy anniversary to Hala and Ben! I can't believe it's already been a year since this beautiful day. Getting married during 2020 was challenging for obvious reasons, especially since we also had fires and smoke on top of everything else, but in the end we were able to have a wonderful, safe celebration.

I love that Lia and Chris decided to use this beautiful wooden hutch to display their desserts. I had fun adding a touch of art with these little chalkboard signs so people would know the cupcake flavors.

This photo pretty much sums up the day! Anne and Güray decided to move their wedding celebration to next year, but elope this year with just me as their officiant and Nathan Cordova Studios as their photographer in attendance. The four of us had so much fun before, during, and after their ceremony taking pictures around Redwood City. Huge congrats to this awesome couple and I can't wait to celebrate them again next year!

Brad and Andrea eloped last year and moved their larger wedding celebration to yesterday. They opted to just do a reception, but for their toast they gave hilarious updated pandemic vows to each other. It was such a fun celebration of a beautiful couple and I feel so lucky to have been a part of both of their weddings!

They got married at Old St. Hilary's, a beautiful hillside chapel in Tiburon that overlooks the Bay. They broadcast their ceremony live on Zoom and then we had a small reception at the groom's mom's home.

I love this photo because it shows off the bride's beautiful kimono so well! When we started switching gears from a 200 person wedding to a family-only elopement last year, the bride decided to wear this beautiful vintage kimono to honor her family's Japanese ancestry. Then we found the perfect place for the elopement: Hayward Japanese Gardens. It was a perfect day and now we're planning for the big party next year once we get back to normal!

California redwoods always make for a beautiful background for weddings! Ben and Hala had a small, safe celebration with family and friends last October. After all of our covid safe planning, we almost had to deal with fire issues as well! Luckily, the fires didn't get too close and the air wasn't too smoky for their special day.
