Are there loved ones who have passed on that you want to remember at your wedding? While that is a sweet gesture, remember your wedding day is a day of "celebration" not a memorial to those loved ones not here. There are many beautiful ways to incorporate your loved ones discreetly but memorably. Here's a few ideas:

1. Incorporate their favorite flower(s) in your floral décor or arrangements.
2. Put one of their favorite flowers in the center of your bouquet.
3. Consider have one of their personal pleasures for your guests to partake. i.e.; a few nice ci**rs, chocolates or deserts.
4. Give a favor to your guests that was something fun or important about your loved one, like candy or a lottery ticket.
5. Offer a specialty drink in your loved ones favorite flavor or color.

The Wedding Tiara; A Fairytale Princess for the day! So, is wearing a tiara right for you on your wedding day? Let's look at some options:
1. Style: It's better to already have your dress picked out, that way you can match the tiara with style of your dress and not your hairdo.
2. Regal: This is the most "Royal" due to it's regal height. This style flatters a more "long" style face.
3. Wishbone: is a single or double vintage design.
4. Headband: This a beautiful "low-key" subtle option. This one goes nicely with long hair.
5. Bun-Wrap: This one is worn farther back and wrapped around a bun-styled hairdo. Most brides choosing this style will attach the veil to the bottom of the wrap.
6. The Wreath: Such a romantic way to incorporate natural elements such as flowers and vines accented with lace or ribbon. This style looks best with a low-key "breezy" wedding dress or even a sundress.

Should you wear a veil on your wedding day? This is a very personal decision for each bride to decide what's right for her. Some brides decide to wear both a tiara and a veil, and some just decide to wear one or the other, or something else like flowers or specialty hair pieces. However if you decide to wear a veil here's a few tips.
1. Birdcage or Blusher covers the face
2. Flyaway or Shoulder cones to the shoulder
3. Elbow is about 30" long
4. Fingertip is about 38-40" long
5. Knee or Sweep comes to the knee and is about 45-50" long
6. Waltz is about 55-60" long
7. Floor Length is about 65-70" long
8. Chapel Length comes to about 70-80" long
9. Cathedral Length is dreamy at nearly any length you wish to have behind you.

When deciding on the "perfect" dress, what type of train do you have in mind? Here are some options to consider:

1. "Sweep train"--This is the shortest train and only extends a few inches from the actual floor-length of the dress.
2. The Court-train--This is the 2nd shortest train and extends about a foot from the floor-length of the dress.
3. The Chapel train--This is the most "popular" of dress trains. This extends about 3-4 feet from the floor-length or is measured from the waist or "knee" of the dress.
4. The "Semi-Cathedral" train-- is a bit more formal but till has the manageability to bustle neatly. This train measures about 4-5 feet from the dress waist or knee.
5. The "Cathedral" train--This style is truly what "fairytales" are made from. This train can measure up to about 8 feet long. This train is most popular with "Black-Tie"
or Church weddings.
6. The "Monarch" train--This train can measure 10-12 feet or longer! Think of this train like Princess Diana's wedding dress when she married Prince (King) Charles. Princess Diana's train measured a whopping 25-feet; while Princess Kate's dress measured a conservative 9 feet.
7. Lastly, The "Watteau" train--This train can be removeable. This train can attach to the shoulders or even the waist of the wedding gown and can conveniently be removed for the reception to enjoy a less restrictive "bustling" of an attached train.

Can't decide if you want to 'toss' the bouquet at your wedding receptions? Did you know there's a least 5 ways to "toss" or "give" a bouquet during your wedding reception?

1. The "traditional" toss to all single ladies over 18 years of age.
2. Toss to "all" ladies, married or single.
3. Toss to "anyone" (men or women) who would like to catch the bouquet. (All your 'jokesters' will be there having a blast!)
4. Present it to the most recently engaged couple in your reception.
5. Present it to the "longest-married" couple.

Are you thinking of preserving your wedding dress? Here's the "411" if it's right for you.

1. Have your gown "properly Cleaned". Have a conversation with you local dry cleaner and ask if they clean wedding dresses "in-house" or do they send them out to "wholesale" dry-cleaning companies. If they use a "wholesale" company it's likely that your dress will be thrown in a large tub with many other wedding gowns at the same time. This does not ensure "delicate" or personal touch cleaning to anyone's dress.

2. Ask your local cleaner is they will use a "virgin-solvent" to clean your dress. A "good" dry cleaner will always virgin or distilled solvent to properly clean the garment and leave little to no odor.

3. Does your dry cleaner prefer "wet cleaning". Wet cleaning is simply cleaning with water and has several advantages. "Wet" cleaning is the best for:
a. Dirty Hems & trains
b. Food Stains
c. Sugar spills
"wet" cleaning also removes the "sizing" (a starch like substance added to fabric during manufacturing) which can oxidize into visible yellowing stains and discoloration and may also invite mice and insects!

4. Lastly...Read the label for the fabric and care instructions of the dress. It will tell you the best way to clean it. Make your dry-cleaner a partner for the care of the dress. Also, if you're going to 'preserve" your wedding dress, make sure you find a professional with a long-standing good reputation.
