Hi y’all! It’s been a little while, and here’s why…

As of yesterday, I have officially closed the doors to VRF. This has been a really tough decision that I’ve struggled with and cried over many many times but ultimately I know it’s the right move for my family and I😊. I am immensely grateful to have flowered for so many beautiful celebrations over the last 8 years, and to have worked with so many incredible designers and vendors!

The flower journey doesn’t end here though! Since moving to Asheville I’ve been freelancing for some talented designers and have really enjoyed it, so that’s what I’ll be doing full time now. This is going to allow me to continue doing what I love and have more time to spend with these guys 🥰.

Thank you all for following along and supporting my journey. I’m so excited for this next chapter and all that’s to come ♥️

I’ve seen this photo of one of my favorite designs circulating on a few of the floral forums, so I wanted to share exactly how we built it with y’all…

▪️For the base we used 2 pipe and drape upright poles + bases. We raised 1 higher than the other for a more asymmetric design.
▪️We covered the poles with branches like curly willow to easily attach flowers and greens.
▪️Wrapped the poles using about 1 box of Smilax + 1 box of Eleagnus. Saved a few of the really good Eleagnus pieces for the top 😉
▪️Where we wanted florals on the poles we created several “burritos” out of chicken wire and added water tubed flowers.
▪️At the base of the arch we added 2 pieces on each side arranged in foam + oasis trays for a fuller bottom.

✨ I have some big news that I am both excited and a bit sad to share with you all…

My family and I are moving to North Carolina at the end of this year! We have been thinking about this move for some time now, and have decided to finally just go for it. We’ll be planting new roots there, and will eventually be moving VRF down with us after our 2022 season.

I’ll still be in Michigan for all of our 2021 and 2022 weddings, but won’t be booking anymore new weddings in MI for next year. I can’t fully let go of my home state so I’ll still be taking on a few select weddings in Michigan each year beginning in 2023 ☺️

I’m so grateful for all the support and kind wishes we’ve received, and can’t wait to continue my flower journey down south!
