One of the most important parts of a well-run wedding is the vendor team behind it. The right partners bring so much more than talent. They bring trust, communication, and a shared commitment to creating a meaningful experience for you and your guests.

Over the years, I’ve built relationships with florists, photographers, rental teams, caterers, tent companies, musicians, and so many creative partners who care deeply about their work. When a team works well together, the day feels seamless. Everyone understands the flow, anticipates what’s needed, and supports one another so the couple never feels the behind-the-scenes movement.

This is why I’m thoughtful about the vendors I recommend. It’s never about a preferred list. It’s about matching you with partners who understand your vision and elevate the experience in ways you can feel, even if you can’t see every detail happening in real time.

A great vendor team doesn’t just make the day beautiful. They make it feel effortless.

A well-designed celebration doesn’t need to shout. It creates a feeling the moment you walk in — and that feeling stays with you long after the night is over.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to planning a celebration, which is why the services I offer are designed to meet clients exactly where they are.

For some, that means full planning — a true partnership from start to finish, where every detail is thoughtfully guided and every decision has support behind it.

For others, it looks like partial planning. The most common version of this is design paired with wedding management, where we build a cohesive vision, curate the right creative partners, and ensure every detail comes together seamlessly in the final months.

Wedding management is for couples who want to handle most of the planning but need a professional to organize the final details and protect the experience on the day itself.

I also offer venue searches, which have become one of my favorite ways to begin this journey. The right space shapes everything.

And for those with unique needs, I create customized planning support. No two celebrations — or couples — are the same, and the way we work together shouldn’t be either.

Beyond weddings, I support couples and families with milestone events, from bridal and baby showers to destination celebrations and intimate gatherings. No two celebrations — or couples — are the same, and the way we work together shouldn’t be either.

Whatever the service, the goal is the same. Clarity. Partnership. A thoughtful path forward. And a celebration that feels personal and beautifully executed.

Happy Monday and happy December. As the year winds down, I’m starting a series about what I do (and why), how I work, and what really goes into planning a wedding that feels like you. But first, a quick hello.

I’m Kelly, the face behind LeslieJames Events. I’ve spent the past eight years partnering with couples to create celebrations that feel personal, intentional, and deeply meaningful.

My background in corporate finance gave me structure and clarity, but my heart has always been in the moments that bring people together.

I named my company after my parents, Leslie and James, because family and legacy are at the center of everything I do. My mom passed away when I was a teenager, yet her presence and the love my parents shared continue to guide me. It’s the reason this work means so much to me.

For me, planning isn’t just logistics. It’s listening. It’s honoring what matters to you. It’s creating a day that reflects who you are, and protecting the experience so you can truly be present.

If you’re new here, welcome. I’m grateful you’re here, and excited to share more about how I approach this work and why it matters.

With winter weddings officially underway, I’m thinking about this beautiful day nearly five years ago. These two will celebrate their anniversary soon, and their wedding still reminds me why I love what I do.

S and N wanted a wedding that felt sentimental and intentional, a celebration that unfolded like an inviting dinner party instead of a production. Something that blended farm charm with a coastal feel and felt distinctly North Shore from the moment guests arrived.

And their day delivered exactly that.

Every detail had meaning. Every choice was thoughtful. Guests were welcomed into an atmosphere that felt personal and warm, the kind of setting where conversation lingers and people genuinely connect. It was relaxed, refined, and so perfectly them.

A celebration shaped by heart, guided by intention, and rooted in the place they love.

L and D’s sneak peeks are in, and they’re everything.

The joy, the emotion, the way the day unfolded so naturally… it felt exactly like them.

This season was full of love, laughter, and the kind of moments that remind me why I do what I do.

To the couples who trusted me with their vision, the vendors who brought it to life, and the families who welcomed me in — thank you.

Every wedding tells its own story, and looking back on this year, I’m just so grateful to have been part of them.

Our Mission

At LeslieJames Events, we know that you cherish each and every fleeting moment. Nothing is more important than time spent with your loved ones as you make memories to last a lifetime. We know that you’re willing and able to do it all, because you already do and always have. You support your friends and family, pursue your passions, slay all day, and do everything with a giggle and a smile.

The truth is that life doesn’t always go as planned. Your plate is full, and although you’re armed with a sense of humor and a heart of gold, the stress and frustration of planning an event can take away from what’s really important: celebrating this magical, wonderful, imperfectly perfect life.

That’s where we come in — making magic from the imperfectly perfect.

We believe in hugs. We believe in finding joy in the simple things and rolling with the punches. We believe that to grow where you’re planted, you need to be nurtured. We believe in the power of tradition. We believe in telling stories while inspiring new ones. Because in this imperfectly perfect life, each magical moment should become a lasting memory.
