✨ Lighting is EVERYTHING. Whether it’s chandeliers, twinkle lights, or candles hi, ensure your tent glows beautifully as the sun sets—and don’t skimp on brightness!

✨ Measurements matter. Work closely with your tenting company—bonus points if they can measure the space themselves!

✨ Don’t forget the kitchen! Caterers often need a separate tent for their setup—be sure to keep this in mind!

Thankful for my amazing children who make me smile every day (even at the thought of them), for STC clients who allow and trust and are such wonderful people, for freedom, for love, friendship and family, for connections where you just KNOW, for people who show up and support without being asked, for the opportunity to continue expanding personally and professionally, for delicious food and vitamins to keep us healthy, for so much… let’s focus on all of the GOOD today. If you heard the number of people who come up to me and say, “Oh, you’re an Event Planner! I’ve thought about doing that!” First, I love why I do. I also want to be transparent that it isn’t for the “weak” or for people who just “think it seems cool/fun.” So much not captured here, it’s labor intensive on the day of the event, it’s one of the most high stress jobs there are (no joke - look it up - you literally cannot make a mistake), it takes many skill sets, from negotiating to reviewing and modifying contracts to creating new ideas to being SUPER organized and a complete since you work with many different types of personalities. It’s a cliquey industry too, so you have to have developed yourself beforehand in order to handle it well. It’s a big industry …but a small one. Reputation is everything too.
It’s a LOT, but I am thankful every day that I am able to meet and work with such amazing people, that I’m able to use my corporate and fashion background in such a magical way, and that I’m able to show my children that their mother is a strong female entrepreneur who does it her way, with a smile 😆
