Ceremonies and Event Planning of the Finger Lakes believes that the best events are those in which love can be joyfully shared and expressed. We provide our diverse group of clients with two sets of services. Wedding and Event Planning:

We speci

alize in life-cycle celebrations and social occasions, big and small, secular and religious: weddings, rehearsals, B’nai Mitzvahs, birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers, reunions, graduation, retirement, receptions, cocktail parties…whatever the occasion, we help you put the pieces together to create memorable, meaningful events that fit your personality, taste and vision. Ceremony Creation and Officiating:

We specialize in highly personal, heart-felt, humanistic ceremonies to meet the needs of all couples, regardless of sexual orientation, whether living locally or planning a destination wedding in the Finger Lakes. Even people who are theistic can relate to the common humanity expressed in our beautiful, humanistic and secular ceremonies. Whether you are celebrating your relationship, a new addition to your family, or any other milestone or life passage, we work with you to create a ceremony that reflects your values, beliefs and backgrounds.

Alas, no photo to accompany this, but what an honor it was to officiate at the wedding of Alberto and Alexandra, two "hopeless romantics" who grew up in different continents but found home in each other after meeting at Cornell. So much love. So much joy. So many wishes for a wonderful future together!

Honored and delighted to have been part of this intimate and beautiful ceremony overlooking Cayuga Lake on the most perfect of fall days. It's even more special when working with such a special couple. Many congratulations to Matilde and Reynaldo!

"Just wanted to thank you one more time. We feel very lucky to have had you as our officiant; it was such a special day. Thank you for writing such a beautiful ceremony and being so understanding and respectful of our wishes. Looking forward to staying in touch! ~Maltilde, 2022

Congratulations to Matt and Erin who were married this past weekend on the most glorious fall day. I co-officiated with a Catholic priest, in what was a unique ceremonial blend of Catholic and Humanistic Jewish traditions. What a wonderful way to honor both families and backgrounds.

Can I just say that I still can't believe I get to share in the happiness of so many lovely couples? These two photos were taken from this past weekend at Mirbeau. (Sharing with permission from the adorable newlyweds, Gabby and Sean.)

Not sure that second photo loaded properly. Had to make sure that I shared this photo of the bride's 99 year old grandmother flower girl. I just love her delight in tossing the flower petals! (Photo credit: Jessica Manns Photography.)

My strengths as an officiant should not be measured by the frequency with which I post on Facebook! Happy to share two photos from one of two ceremonies I recently conducted at Glenora Wine Cellars on the west side of Seneca Lake. My absolute favorite part of the ceremony was the bride's 99 year-old grandmother who joyfully served as the "flower girl." Congratulations Meaghan and Matt! The weather and setting could not have been more perfect for a long-awaited wedding yesterday at the Aurora Inn. Congratulations to Rebekah and Andrew, who, like so many couples, had to postpone wedding plans from 2020.

Congratulations to this stunning couple who were married this past weekend at the beautiful Wagner Vineyards Estate Winery. The weather couldn't have been more perfect and the joy couldn't have been greater. I was honored to be their officiant and further honored to receive this lovely message from the groom's mother:

"I know I told you on Saturday how absolutely wonderful I thought Dan and Elizabeth's wedding ceremony was. You did such an amazing job of capturing their essence as a couple. Clearly I was not the only one who thought that! I can't tell you how many people told me it was one of the most beautiful ceremonies they have ever been to. Thank you, again, for all of your kindness to them during the process - the ceremony was clearly a highlight of the day and isn't that what weddings really should be about!"

Congratulations, Dan and Elizabeth!
