Our Story

We are Mya + Hector, owners of Elope to Orlando, Florida notaries, experienced Officiants, certified wedding planners, published professional photographers, and parents to four daughters and two dogs. We started a wedding planning company in 2004 under a different name (Florida Wedding Services). Back then Mya officiated all the weddings and Hector took the photos. After our business took off, we hired Officiants so that we could both photograph our clients and help them with the ceremony details. About two years into the business we changed our company name to Beach Weddings in Florida because most of our weddings took place on a beach. Finally, in 2016 we decided to "retire" from full-time beach weddings and stay closer to home in Orlando. We sold our Beach Weddings in Florida brand to a photographer friend and founded Elope to Orlando.

When we are not taking care of our elopement couples, we are busy with our studio work. Mya’s bo***ir photography brand, Sexy Beautiful Me, was voted twice Orlando’s #1 Portrait studio. She specializes in women portraiture and we both travel around the Country a few times a year participating in bo***ir photography conferences and mentoring programs. (Our next industry-related trip is in April 2020 attending the The Art & Business of Bo***ir conference. We’ll be in Scottsdale and Sedona, AZ if anyone wants to elope with us!)

When you book one of our packages, you are hiring a local Florida team and not a national company. We’ll be there for you to make sure everything goes smoothly and take care of any last-minute mishaps that could happen.

Our goal is to make your experience FUN and easy. Our services are perfect for the couple who wants a beautiful and meaningful ceremony, without the headaches of a traditional wedding. We are honored that you would consider our team for your special day!
