Once again I'd like to thank the Village of Merton for inviting me to play for National Night Out.

Families enjoyed leaning all about our 1st Responders and the equipment used to keep us all safe.

The bouncy houses were a hit as well as all the food and other activities. So many to mention.

Thank you to all the Village employees and many volunteers that help put this together for our great community.

Nathan and I are having a blast tonight at The Ingleside with Studio Via - School of Dance. These families came here to party. It feels so good to be free again. Thank you Studio VIA for letting Nathan and I do our 2nd gig since everything opened back up. We love this group.

It's been over a year that dozens of gigs were canceled and refunded due to Covid. I'm excited to announce that schools and private parties are booking NYAJDJ again. Starting tonight Nathan and I will be playing for one of our favorite schools for their Father Daughter Dance. What will be really fun is that we'll be playing in their local Fire Station and not in school. I've been testing my equipment and practicing new mixes all week. Nathan and I can not wait.

Covid 19 has hit many in my industry pretty hard. DJ's, licensed DJ music services, audio and effects equipment dealers. Most of all it has hit all of you too. My wish is that all of you have been staying safe and I hope that we will all be hitting the floor again very soon.

I am taking bookings without commitment. If you feel you might have an event in the future please get your event in my calendar. There is no cost book or to cancel due to Covid restrictions.

As you can see from the picture below I've been teaching my cat Pele' how to scratch safely.

DJ Lil’ Joe Bio

Hello, my name is DJ Lil’ Joe and I am a DJ who has been training since early 2016 with a professional club and radio DJ of 35 years. I have also taken multiple online DJ classes. I am a member of the Merton Intermediate National Junior Honor Society, am also a member of Merton Intermediate Choir. I have been playing soccer since 2012 and currently play soccer for Elmbrook United 14 Elite Team, I am a volunteer at Shepherd of the Hills in Pewaukee and I am waiting to graduate 8th grade so I can join the Waukesha County Explorers Club. This will be my first step toward a career in law enforcement. I have lived in Wisconsin for my whole life. Yes, I am a Green Bay Packer and Wisconsin Badger fan. I was born in 2004.

I started to train on two Technics MK1200 turntables in my bedroom using five milk crates of vinyl records to learn how to mix music and to learn about diffrent types of music. Later on I moved my DJ system down into the back room of my basement. I truly love all types of music and I have listened to music my whole life. My family has introduced me to all types of music and I have had the opportunity to meet the late Al Jarreau twice as well as David Sanborn; two jazz greats. The biggest concert I’ve been to was Rush at Marcus Amphitheater that my mom took me to. What kid gets the opportunity to see one of the greatest rock bands of all time before they retired as a band.

After I watched videos of current DJs I saw that they were using different technology compared to my ‘old school’ training and I got very interested in that. I later invested in a Pioneer DJ controller and used an old Sonic speaker system that I owned. I downloaded a DJing software called Serato DJ. I then invested in a new killer sound reinforcement system and a light bar. I started out by doing shows for Merton Schools’ Jump Rope for Heart. I practice mixing and remixing songs nearly every day.
