the Ball Dahlia is one of the more difficult flowers to make…took me forever. I’ve been calling it my nemesis, not anymore…thanks to .chui for the instruction in her book Paper Flower Art. Lisianthus on the other hand, just as pretty, but a fraction of the time.

Hi my name is Amber, I have always been creative. It started with my mom, growing up she was always making our cloths and costumes, and the moment I moved out, my old bedroom turned into a craft room. This is the same now with my sister and I, we both have craft rooms in our house and always want to make things for others.

In early 2017, I wanted to make something for my home that would always look green and alive. (I don’t have a green thumb and live plants do not look good after a few months.) So I began making paper plants and flowers and just fell in love with it.

I currently live in Las Vegas, NV, working as a software project manager by day. Paper flowers is my passion project. I hand cut and shape my flowers with Italian crepe paper and color with a variety of mediums. I am inspired by the many flowers and plants in nature to create my designs.
