But really…what should you do if Mother Nature has different plans than you? How do you stay calm when the weather can change by the hour? 🙃
1) Always make sure that your venue has a viable rain backup plan. Your backup plan should be safe for both your guests and vendors. Definitely ask your venue about what a rain backup plan might look like and if there are any additional costs to implement.
2) Adjust timelines as needed. This is when having a wedding planner is ✨key✨ Look at the radar - will the summer storm pass in 30 minutes? If the rain passes as quickly as it moves in, sometimes waiting it out and adjusting your timeline will still allow you to have your outdoor wedding.
3) Learn to dance in the rain. Do you have a right to be upset? Yes. Should you also try to stay positive? Also yes! Share a kiss under an umbrella with your partner and don’t let the rain ruin your day.
