Our Story
For over 11 years Celebration Cakes has brought freshly-baked cakes and cupcakes to Northeast Kansas. When Owner Cheryle Temaat decorated her first cake (baked in a borrowed Scooby-Doo pan) she had no idea that a birthday request from her kiddo would turn into the business that it is today. Locally owned and operated, Celebration Cakes is a family business that cares about making your day special. With over 15 years of cake decorating experience, Cheryle knows the industry inside and out and has had wedding cakes travel everywhere from Colorado to South Texas, making appearances in Wedding Wire and 313 Magazine.
For Cheryle, cakes are a family affair. Born and raised in Manhattan, KS, Cheryle’s mom Wanda Wedekind baked cakes out of their family home for over a decade. Today, her husband Mike and daughter Lindsey are often spotted helping with deliveries. Simply put: cake decorating is in our blood.
