Come enjoy the 8th Annual Winter Jazz Dinner Show on Friday, February 21, 2025, at the Little River Canyon Center! Back by popular demand, the band TAD of Jazz will set the mood with a spectacular performance of contemporary and traditional jazz hits.

Delighted to report that our floors will be receiving a spa treatment with stripping and waxing. The process started today and it may impact more days, but for the moment, we know that we’ll be closed to the public on Tuesday & Wednesday. Stay tuned!

Check out the Groundhog Day Community Event this Saturday!

The BIG DAY is almost here — The Groundhog Day Community Celebration!
**SATURDAY, Feb. 1st**

**10 a.m. to 2 p.m.**
• Games and Art Activities for the kids
• Old-fashioned Cake Walk
• Crock-Pot Cookoff — soups, chilies, and stews
• Drinks and desserts from our local Scout Troop 178
• Storytelling Workshop featuring Fred Hunter

**5 p.m. to 9 p.m.**
We’ll top it off that evening with a Community Dance with professional DJ Brian Anderson — spotlighting the 50s through the 90s for generation dance trophies!

There’s no admission charge, and no charge for the kid’s activities. Come spend time with your neighbors and friends, and help us celebrate the spirit of The Groundhog — your community newspaper! Saturday, Feb. 1st at the Moon Lake Gym!

The ICE is melting but not enough to open the Canyon Center today. Our driveway remains in the shadows and is impassable. We will remain closed today. Little River Canyon National Preserve will remain closed today as well.

Although Highway 35 is now drivable, there are many icy places, especially the bridges, back roads, and all of our driveways inside the Canyon Center gates. We’ll be closed today and possibly tomorrow.

Please remember the National Preserve is closed throughout the weekend. Access is CLOSED, including the gate to the main waterfall.

Nevertheless, the canyon is always beautiful.

The Canyon Center will be closed Friday, Jan. 10th & Saturday, Jan. 11th due to winter weather. We anticipate normal operations to resume on Sunday, Jan. 12th (weather permitting). NOT your average office party! Tonight’s holiday celebration at the CANYON CENTER was with JAX State, National Park Service, and the volunteers who partner to provide service, education, conservation and special moments for local and global visitors to Little River Canyon.
