Something we get asked a lot is whether or not couples "should" do a first look.
There are lots of benefits logistically to doing first looks, like the fact that you can then do family photos all together pre-ceremony, and save time after the ceremony. Everyone's make up and hair is the freshest before the ceremony, as well.

On the flip side, some people want the very first moment that they see their partner to be in that moment at the end of the aisle; I see something sentimental and powerful in that, as well.

The most important thing is that your coordination team brings your photographer into the loop no matter what the plan is 😂

Our Groom, Tom’s, face when one of our amazing brides surprised him at their reception by playing some of his favorite songs on guitar with his band!!!
The bride, Angela, took lessons for 5 months and had never played guitar before! Such a special and unique experience. So on brand for this unique and special couple! We used to make Tom leave our planning zooms, to the other room, and put on headphones so that we could plan the details of this moment 😂

When I signed up to be a through I told myself that 2022 was a year of big changes but that I had too much on my plate to go after one of these “best of” badges. “That’s a next year goal,” I told myself.
THIS arrived to my inbox today.
